We love indie films and this place is an indie lovers dream. The place is worn a bit, but far beyond adequate. The couches in the front row are a cool touch. and oh so comfortable. Check the films, read the reviews and pick your film! With all the choices, there is something for every film lover.

A great Tucson institution. Do yourself a favor and keep an eye on what's playing and check out the trailers. You'll find movies that are off the wall wonderful that no one has heard about. The membership is a good deal even if you only go once a month. Only minor issue is movie times can be a bit strange.

I love this place. They play cult classics, indie and foreign films, documentaries, really bad horror (like laughably bad), and host all kinds of fun events like wine tastings, sing-alongs, and film-making contests. Plus they serve beer and pizza.

If you are bored with Cineplex movie offerings, you need to start going to the Loft Cinema! They have EVERYTHING here, from really odd comedies and bizarre and funny "D" movies, to great films that would never see the light of day in the commercial theater chains. They often have movie personalities, such as Bobcat Goldthwait, Angus Scrimm (The "Tall Man" from the Phantasm film series.) and such directors as Roger Corman. I never see a movie there without learning something new and amazing. Many EXCELLENT foreign films, and many restorations of unusual films that you won't see anywhere else. ("Trip to the Moon from 1902, in it's completely restored version, including the coloring which was done frame by frame when it was originally made in France) The crew there is really awesome, too! And they have beer, wine, and pizza, not to mention the normal offerings of popcorn and soda! The first Friday of every month, they have a short film contest, and it is awesome! Tired of the 5th relaunch of the BATMAN series? GO TO THE LOFT AND SEE SOMETHING NEW!

Price was outrageous!!! $9.25 for what we thought was a matinee (4:30 pm), no air conditioning on a record breaking heat day (at least 90 degrees in theatre and no air flow), only one aisle so you had to climb over at least 15 people to get a seat - no way could you go to the bathroom during the movie. Will NEVER go there again.
