Phenomenal weekend! Big brackets, very long days, and a lot of smiles.
Isaac Escamilla- 5 and Under Divisions- Took 3rd Place in Point Sparring(13 Kid Division), 3rd Place in Weapons (9 Kid Division), and 3rd Place in Continuous Sparring.

Diego Rodriguez- Black Belt Division- Took 2nd Place In Weapons(9 Teenagers In Division, also placed ahead of Higher Ranking Black Belts) and 5th in Point Sparring Division(12 Teens in Division)

Overjoyed with our competitors! I'm proud they even stepped on the competition mat, they carried themselves the rest of the way. Successful people never worry about what other's are doing. Instead, they analyze, learn, and grow! Ready for the next Competition!

Cookie Dough! For Childhood Obesity?
Most of the time cookie dough is an off-limits indulgence that you may dip into on a Friday night while watching a movie at home...only to wake up feeling guilty the next day. Sure, you know you should resist, but sometimes you simply need a sweet, satisfying treat.
Enter this exciting new recipe for Guilt-Free Cookie Dough! It has all of the creamy, cookie-dough goodness that you crave without the regrettable ingredients. Instead of butter, flour and sugar this cookie dough treat is made with creamed chickpeas, peanut butter (or almond butter), stevia and a touch of honey.
Just one creamy spoonful is all it will take to convince you that you can have your cookie dough...and eat it too :-)
Servings: 12
Here’s what you need...
1 (15oz) can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
¼ cup creamy, natural peanut butter or almond butter (no sugar added)
1 Tablespoon honey
20 drops liquid stevia
2 Tablespoons ground flax seeds
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 Tablespoon coconut milk
2 cracks of fresh sea salt
¼ cup Lily’s stevia-sweetened dark chocolate chips
Combine all of the ingredients, except the chocolate chips, in a food processor. Blend until smooth and creamy. Add more coconut milk if needed.
Transfer the dough to a bowl. Mix in the chocolate chips. Enjoy!
Nutritional Analysis: One serving equals: 197 calories, 6g fat, 25g carbohydrate, 6g sugar, 12mg sodium, 7g fiber, and 10g protein
I hope that you get a chance to give this recipe a try this week.

Three Questions to Ask Your Child Every Night
& A Bonus Question
This idea came from
We all want our children to grow up to be great communicators.
Our ability to communicate feelings, thoughts, and decisions has a tremendous impact in the way we move through the world.
These questions not only improve your child's skills, but they also help you connect with your child and let him or her know that you are there to listen.
If your child knows you are there to listen, he or she is more likely to let you know if something is wrong.
Open communication is just like any other skill. The more you practice the better you become!
Here are Three Questions to Ask Your Child Every Night:
1. What is something that made you smile today?
2. What is something that made you sad today?
3. What is something you learned today?
Bonus question: What is one way you showed kindness today?
Try these questions at dinner tonight or before bed!
Please, Like, Comment, and Share if you enjoyed this post! :-)
