Just got mine yesterday after reading your thread over at ultimaterc. Thanks for the reviews! It doesn't feel as cheap in my hand as I thought it would, but this is coming from an old Futaba 3PM-FM which wasn't a flagship radio by any means but a quality product. With batteries in the 3XS and no batteries in the 3PM, the 3PM is still much heavier. The plastic though, didn't feel as cheap as I thought it would. I did have an issue with the RX not binding out the box. Disassembled the HK-3100 and it bound fine. Not sure what the issue was, but the antenna was crimped badly due to how it was soldered and the exit location. It naturally wanted to exit the side of the case but they route it through the end. An Xacto made quick work fixing the case. Also, the RX board had a HK-300 number on the back and a 2010 date. Are these the same boards used in the HK-3000 receivers, just in a different case?
