A really nice hotel with a great location. Everything in the hotel is spotless and the rooms are nice sized. It really is located in the center of the shopping and dining areas and you wont need a car once you park it in their lot. The hotel is not cheap, but I guess that you do get what you pay for in this category.

Our room was a little dirty when we got there. But, they took care of us and upgraded to a new bigger room. Everyone is so nice. We will def. Be back.

My stay was pleasant. The hotel is right on Fore St and right next to my favorite restaurant in Portland, Miyake. I could generally walk everywhere which was great! They did have a mix up when I checked in though, and there were already guests in my room when I opened the door. I had to go out to dinner and wait for them to sort everything out. I ended up getting a different room.

The hotel was very nice and in a nice location, but the room we were in was adjacent to a nightclub. Since the nightclub was across the street, we didn't think it'd be a problem, except the music from the club was so loud sometimes I could make out the words to the music being played. We didn't see very any reviews alluding to the extent of the noise, and the hotel gave us no indication that there would be any noise or how long the noise would be going for, which was aggravating.

Super friendly and outgoing staff. Very knowledgeable about local areas including breweries!! Maintenance in rooms could be a little better. Rooms on the union street side are noticeably louder than those facing the courtyard. Great location. Easy to access local shopS, eatery's, and the fun and hip nightlife!!! Would recommend to anyone visiting the area and I will return!!!

Our stay was interesting. We decided to stay with the Portland Harbor Hotel for our anniversary. On arrival the hotel checked us in to an already occupied room. We left our luggage with the front desk and went to find something to eat while things were sorted out. It wasn't much of an inconvenience for us, but I can understand how this could have put a large damper on someone else's stay. The room (when we finally got to it) was lovely; hardwood floors, comfy bed, mini fridge, etc. - all the wonderful things hotels should be. However, as the location is in a dense city area, we were less than a block from what looked like some happenin' night clubs - all of which had loud music and clientele. The noise wasn't a bother for us, but it's something to be aware of if you're planning a visit. The trade off for the downtown location was incredibly convenient, and we just walked the city during our stay. The valet service was pretty on-point and affordable ($20 per day). We have a manual vehicle and it seemed as though all the valets were proficient at operating the transmission. Super friendly lot, to boot.

We went for a weekend getaway to Portland. Excellent location. Solid service---professional, helpful staff. Room could have been better. We reserved a jacuzzi suite. Got a call the morning before arrival informing us that the room wasn't available. They offered a regular "deluxe" room for free + free breakfast. We took it. They warned us about street noise, but it was mild and didn't bother us (possibly because our room was at the west end of the hotel, away from the bars & clubs). Our room was partially renovated: nice granite + glass shower, nice bathroom countertop, nice tile bath floor, newer laminate flooring in the bedroom. But, it was asking for a real renovation: two of the four windows opened to a... black wall, no built-in closet, awkward layout, overly heavy window treatments that made the room a bit dark, old/antique furniture, limited table/counter space (for e.g. setting down bags). A minor annoyance was that their main elevator was down for maintenance and their stairwell was somewhat narrow. There were some nice sitting areas and the service was all-around great, but the rooms need a serious update before we'd consider returning.
