The Kitchen Department has been the backbone of Hyatt Westlake. Not only did they assist in the grand opening of in 2013, but the Gallup survey scored 4.34/5! As you can see, engagement is something that the Kitchen department excels in, hosting numerous parties for the staff including a summer picnic and Christmas party, both involving food, prizes, raffles and pictures galore!
In supporting Hyatt Thrive, the Kitchen has placed a successful garden in our backyard that provides fresh and healthy creative cuisines for the restaurant menu with fresh herbs and peppers. We are one of the few hotels selected to participate in the In Room Dining beta test which involves a separate menu that has its own cooking technique.
With many community efforts to share, the Kitchen has participated in local food events including the ‘Taste of Conejo, ‘Santa Margarita Event,’ ‘Ultimate Dining,’ and a team building Gingerbread house activity with kids from a local school as well as creating a Gingerbread house for a local auction supporting Breast Cancer Awareness.
