Checked in around midnight. Used a Hyatt diamond upgrade to a suite. Room had unemployed trash and used soap in the shower and sink. Bed linens were not changed out from prior guest just bed made. Complained to overnight manager. Housekeeping had left for the night. Changed the sheets myself with the help of security. Received$40 credit. Mediocre suite upgrade. View of trees and parking lot.

I booked my room through a third party and would have not expected it to make a difference in the attitude of the staff. That turned out to be a large misconception on my behalf. The woman that checked me in was very condescending when I inquired about the possibility of having accommodations with two queen beds or a balcony. It was if I were a second class citizen because I did not book directly with the hotel. Westlake Village is my home town and I was looking forward to being back but to face this type of attitude at check in was unnecessary and not appreciated. Our room was small, had zero cell reception, no coffee for the coffee maker, hot and depressing. I will not stay here again and will be speaking with the many friends and family still in the area.

Nice hotel. Accommodating and pleasant staff. Walls are a bit thin and we were placed next to a family with a very young, very vocal baby.

I have never written a review for a hotel before, but I am compelled to share my bad experience. It looks like a nice hotel. And the room was nice. But the bed was really saggy and not at all comfortable. There was no fridge in the room. Much of the parking lot is filled with new cars that belong to the Thousand Oaks Auto Mall. Two nights i got back to the hotel after 9 PM and had to park in the furthest away possible spot because all spots were filled. Not with guest's cars, but with the inventory of a car dealership. I wouldn't have minded so much if they were guest's cars. Saturday evening they had a formal function in the lobby, with live big band music. Everyone was in evening wear - suits and gowns. They took over the entire hotel lobby and bar area so that actual hotel guests didn't feel welcome. This is what ballrooms are for, not the hotel lobby. My wife and I had to go to the crappy bar across the street to get a drink because they had taken over the hotel bar and lobby. We were seriously annoyed by that. I will never ever stay at this hotel again.

We stayed in a king room for two nights. Pros: the room was large, bathroom was spacious, bed was comfortable, there was free coffee in the room, pretty clean, big windows, blackout curtains, walking distance to grocery store and restaurants. Cons: the lighting in the bathroom was very dim, room was humid and damp throughout our stay even though we had the AC on the entire time, mold in the window sills, no refrigerator, cheap and insufficient shower head, tub was dirty when we checked in, and ridiculously slippery bathroom floor when even a little bit wet. Bottom line: the room wasn't bad, but for $200/night, I expect a little more.

If you're trying to find a really great deal on this amazing hotel I'd highly suggest booking it through HotelRaven. Com They have great deals for it on there! Such a perfect place don't have enough great things to say! It was a Saturday evening after a day of shopping, and having no reservations for dinner made, finding no availability to make one anywhere until much later than our appetite would allow, and not wanting to return home we went to the Hyatt Regency Hotel to try their restaurant having previously heard it was quite good. And it was... We had a great meal. A great wine selection. The bartender was friendly, suggested my dinner choice, suggested a great wine for my second glass, and we chatted about life in Ventura County.

I had a room on the 2nd floor so it was very convenient. The only thing I didn't like was that the room was very hot even with the air conditioner going. The bathroom ran out of cold water for some reason.
