Cello Technologies Seattle's posts

Spent yesterday afternoon visiting with Rich Maez, Director of Sales and Marketing at Boulder Amplifiers, one of the nicest guys in this industry. It is always refreshing to chat with a manufacturer who's one and only goal is to engineer and produce the absolute best products possible. When Cello ceased manufacturing back in 2000 and we had to find a manufacturer to fill our need for state of the art amplification, Boulder fit that need perfectly.

Attended NW Solarfest 2012 this last weekend. The current state of the art in solar power and green energy are truly "here today" technologies, even here in the cloudy northwest. Cello will eventually incorporate of these technologies int
o our show house to demonstrate how the combination of energy management and local energy generation can allow even the most tech-filled home to live efficiently on or off the grid.

Another benefit of powering off solar; it isolates house systems from the noise that comes in from the grid, allowing all the electronics to perform better and last longer. This is a great loop back to the old idea of running high end audio systems off of battery banks! We look forward to doing a 'net-zero' home theater for a client someday!

just added another custom mount video on youtube. This was an interesting project in that we originally talked to the client about a theater system in another room. The client showed us his challenge in this room, but didn't think anything could be done! We were able to provide a great update to this room, and will soon be adding the theater he originally called us for :)http://youtu.be/4q5v3fl2hbE

We haven't used these yet, but when I saw the prototypes at the factory I decided these will be great for compact, high output home theaters!

Cello just finished this 'magic' TV pullout (notice that the TV and enclosure are much wider than the cabinet they pull out of!). This custom sliding mechanism was engineered to allow a modern HDTV (46" Sony) to deploy from a cabinet designed for an old SD tube TV, and to have room above the TV for a center channel speaker. Wiring had to be articulated to allow smooth movement without binding or damaging any of the wires.

Just had an exclusive preview of the new Prima Cinema video player. This is the first and only system that allows in home viewing of new feature films on the date of their theatrical release. This will allow users to view current movies in ultra high quality without leaving their house.

They changed the URL for this, so I am reposting:

Recently Tom Hall was interviewed for a Wall Street Journal article about one of Cello's projects. They also created this video interview for the project.

This is another video of the world's largest in ground TV lift that we designed for a client's pool and pool deck.
