Always wanted the Augmented TV experience seen in movies like Minority Report?  Well it appears to be coming in the near future.

You can be a part of it.  25 hours left to join in and bring this to market.

I know I will be buying one.  What about you?

Create Cloud Storage Help

Hey can someone tell me how to open/save files to the Adobe Cloud Storage?  I have searched and searched but I cannot figure it out.  I am thinking that it is not available yet.  Is anyone else able to do this from PS CC or LR5?

I have tried following these instructions but I do not see a Creative Cloud option like in the instructions.
http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/sync-files.html

I am able to access the storage through the web app (creative.adobe.com/files) but I can only manage files (upload/delete/etc).  I am unable to open files in PS or LR from here.

Thanks for any help.

I thought up this idea 20 years ago when I lived in Seattle, but technology was not what it is today.  I look forward to see if it succeeds.

4 Rules to Make Star Wars Great Again

This is an AWESOME video for those SyFy geeks. It was created as a message to JJ Abrams and Disney letting them know what NOT to do with these new movies. Genius!!!

You have to admit these are pretty cool. Especially if you are both a football fan and a geek.

What is your favorite?

I am kinda liking the Yinchorr, Royal Guards.

Living On One Dollar
Watched a very inspirational and moving documentary a couple days ago.  What I would give to have our boys live in these kids shoes for a month or two.  I would hope that it would change their selfish and entitled views on life.

Definitely worth your time to watch.  You can purchase the video from their site and all the money goes to helping the kids in the video.  Or you can watch it on Hulu.

Check it out.

Really?!  WOW?  It says "PAUL TEUTUL, SR. BRINGS CUSTOM MOTORCYCLES TO CMT IN THE ALL-NEW SERIES “ORANGE COUNTY CHOPPERS"."

Ummm....All-New Series?  It is the same exact crap that was on the other channel.  Jeez!  There is nothing funny or interesting about this guy.  Thankfully I don't get this channel.

Need Feedback
I have a question. Lets say you ordered an item from an online retailer and say spent $100-200 on the item.  Lets also say they shipped it UPS.  Now if UPS states they left it on your front porch but when you got home it was nowhere to be found, should I as a customer just say OH WELL and right it off as a loss?  Or should the retailer step up and ship another item (this time with signature required)?

I am not sure exactly what grounds I have in this situation.  I never received the item I paid for. BUT by UPS stating that they left it on my porch, that is their proof of delivery.  So they are no longer liable.  So it either falls on the retailer or the customer to eat it.

To add a little extra info to the story (not that it matters) my close neighbor and his wife straight across the street saw the UPS driver pull up to my house (at the time the driver logged the package delivered), but they never saw him actually deliver a package to the house.  Kinda odd if you ask me.

I have contacted the retailer and they said they will open an investigation with UPS, which is a big waste of time because UPS will just claim that the package was delivered.  Plus this will take a bunch of time.  I know from past experience with UPS and my business.

I know it sucks to say this but I feel the responsibility falls on the retailer.  I have in the past had to eat orders quite a few times because of UPS.  I didn't have to but I felt it was the right thing to do for my customers.  To get around this I started requiring signature on all deliveries.  Because the retailer did not do this to protect themselves and the customer I think they should step up.

So does anyone have any thoughts or knowledge in this type of situation?

I will give the retailer the opportunity to go through UPS and investigate it.  If nothing gets resolved then I will go through my CC.

J. Rae, unfortunately UPS will be a huge waste of time.  There was no signature required so by the driver stating that it was delivered, that is their proof.  End of story (see attached image. read first line).  I need to start a business where I can screw everyone and not need to have any accountability :-)

And NO I do not have a surveillance setup. BUT I am looking into them now.

Thanks for all your help and comments.  Much appreciated!

Well it looks like the $139/mo lease on the NEW Smart Electric Drive is back on

For those that drive less than 1000 miles a month and are looking to save some money, I challenge you to do the math.  Even if your car is paid for, leasing this car could still save you a few thousand dollars.

If you do what I did and compare total operating cost versus total operating cost, you may be surprised.  I am saving upwards of $5000 over my paid off Volvo.  And on top of that I still have my Volvo for trips and hauling the kids around.  Plus I get to drive a brand new car that is under warranty and has very little to maintenance.  Oh and the best part, NO GAS STATIONS!!!!

This deal is really hard to beat.

Introduction
About Me...
Photography:  I am a self-taught (still learning) wanna-be photographer. I don’t believe in THE RULES of photography. I think that following those rules makes for a boring photo. I feel that some of the best photos break all THE RULES. The bottom line, a photo should tell a story.

My main interests are fashion, glamour, artistic nude, bodyscape, industrial nude, alternative, urban decay, landscape/architectural, etc. I also dabble in a little street photography as well.  I love images and models with contrast and attitude.

My Photography Inspirations...

Please go check them all out.

Hobbies/Interests:  I am a full blooded geek.  I love all things tech.  I have tinkered with computers and programming since my first Trash80 computer in the late 70's.

I would probably be considered a Generalist rather than a Specialist.  The saying “Jack of all trades, master of none” describes me perfectly.

I seem to have many hobbies and projects going on at all times.  Some might say too many :-D   The following are some of the hobbies/projects that I have going on at the moment:
  • Currently we are in the process of rebuilding a monster 1988 Jeep Wrangler.  It is quite the beast.
  • We are also in the process of remodeling our house. This is a MAJOR project.
  • In the process of building a studio space to do some studio work.
  • I just bought a 66 Chevy Truck that I am going to turn into a Rat Rod in the future.
Where I Belong
If you are wondering what circles to put me in, here is a list:
  • Photography (Fashion, Glamour, Portrait, Still Life, Industrial, Urban Decay, Macro, etc)
  • Tech
  • Motorcycle (Bobber/Chopper)
  • 4x4/Jeep
  • Cars (Muscle, Rods, Sports, Racing)
