Eh.. I'm so over the "shield" thing for micro-controllers... Ok, so you solder up 35 pins for 2 to work? Skip the "shield" gimmick and just write the shit up the proper way and you know what the heck you're doing. Ugggh.

Dusted off the rig from last year. Did updates and upgraded everything. Now. the Lightshow stalls on Waiting for Preshow.. The hardware test script runs Cyclon and all the patterns just fine. I'm able to play music with other CLI tools. I had to sudo pip install a new wiringpi. I ported over some config settings that it was complaining about. Can't ^C out of this either. Just hangs. Can someone nudge me in the right direction as to where to start to debug this??

So far every launcher I've installed sucks on the TV. I don't have AndroidTV. But a STB that runs Android. Can anyone suggest a launcher thats polished and clean. Usable.

Need some help with a I2C PHP extension (I don't like the ones I've found). Most of the functions are ported and started work on the PHP class for controlling this LCD display. Still having some issues as I don't fully understand I2C. Help anyone? I'll post the code up on github if you're interested. #raspi #odroid #php #i2c

Anyone else remember staring blankly at this for minutes at a time?

Got a little frustrated with the state of things.

Sort of pissed off that a lot of the "How Tos" that show how to make a 12v to 5v voltage regulator talk about having a 1000uF cap on the input. Totally unnecessary. 100uF will do just fine. So now I have LEDs that fade out, instead of blinking out. It's ok. I suppose
