I think WFU's development of a mobile website and strategy is of paramount importance going forward. As noted, the majority of people, particularly students, are choosing to use their mobile devices (iPhone, iPad, etc.) to access information on the web. A mobile version of the WFU website would not only be able to better accommodate and capture this usage, but it would also capitalize on one of the inherent advantages of mobile user interfaces: simplicity and efficiency (something that students, faculty, and staff desire for day-to-day reference).
Notre Dame's mobile website (m.nd.edu
) is a terrific example of what could be done at WFU. The website is clean, efficient, and intuitive.
