Sony exec Amy Pascal told Tina Brown last night in San Francisco about the hack of her emails. 
Amy Pascal, in her first public comments on the Sony security breach, said that as her personal correspondence poured out to the public, "There was absolutely nothing I could do about whether I hurt people." She added, "It was horrible. It was also strangely freeing."

Introduction
Jeff Elder is an investigative reporter covering social media and technology in Silicon Valley. Before joining The Wall Street Journal, he worked for The San Francisco Chronicle, Cleveland Plain Dealer, Charlotte Observer and other news organizations. He was news editor at The European Stars & Stripes during the Balkan Wars of the 1990s. He was awarded a Knight Fellowship to Stanford University in 2008-2009 to study social media. He later worked for Storify, the social news startup. He can be reached at jeff.elder@wsj.com.
