This is the best value place to go for sushi in Baton Rouge. No other place has sushi this good for anywhere near this price. The food always tastes fresh and the selection is quite large. I've been a few times and I still haven't tried everything. The wait staff is always excellent and the sushi chefs do a fantastic job of making visually appealing plates. If you like spicy, try the Bomb roll and the Double Spicy roll, both are amazing. Their website is out of date or just plain wrong, it lists the wrong ingredients for many of their rolls, plus it doesn't even mention the best thing about Sushi Masa, the all you can eat.

I never see a crowd in this place for lunch, but I decided to give it a try based on other reviews I read here. I'm really glad I did because the food was really good and this is one of the cheapest places to eat near LSU. You might look at the menu and see $7-10 but what the menu doesn't tell you is the ridiculously large portion sizes. I ordered the orange chicken, took about 9 minutes, they brought me out a gigantic bowl of orange chicken that had a few pieces of broccoli and a side container of white rice. Seriously it's enormous, feels like 10lbs of food. I ate it for lunch, dinner, and I just had a little for breakfast. I still have half the container left. 5 meals for $8, you can't beat that. The cashier was friendly and the restaurant looked clean. I'll never go back to Panda Express in the union again.

Pimanyoli's is in a class all of its own. I have been to BBQ joints all over the south and none have consistently served food of this caliber. I've been quite a few times and everything has been phenomenal. The appetizer wings are the best, the way they sneak in the perfect amount of smoke flavor really fills out the flavor of the buffalo sauce. It's pretty hard to pick a favorite, but I do find myself often eating the pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw. I don't even normally eat coleslaw! It's just so fresh and goes perfectly with their rich pulled pork. The only bad thing I can say is the service is sometimes slow. One bite of the food and you'll forget about the wait though. Worth the drive, worth the possibility of a wait.
