Zum Camilli serves Italian food as mama would have cooked it. The atmosphere is relaxed and congenial. Okay, it might be somewhat adapted to German tastes, but look where it is. It is not fine Italian cooking - it is cucina povera (as it says of itself). Sometimes one has to wait a little, but then the wines are excellent and inexpensive. Some people, I hear, have been coming for years to eat my favorite: Cotoletta alla milanese con rigatoni all’arrabbiata. Mmmmnnn, I can taste it now... The homemade ciriole - I like the bianche - are a culinary experience, but you need a large appetite! I've eaten zum Camilli many times and never had a small portion (unfortunately for my figure). I would recommend it as one of the best restaurants in the area and at a fraction of the price. Keep up the good work.
