There truly is nothing that can compare to East Side King. This place has really brought my inner foodie to the next level. I'm not a very adventurous eater, but I closed my eyes and went head first into trying the Poor Qui's Buns. They consist of pork belly, which is adventurous food for me. Wow. Those were delicious! If you are at all a picky eater, I would suggest trying those pork belly buns. I literally could eat ten. The savory pork belly was so tender and it paired nicely with the sweetness of the bun and hoisin sauce. The fried Brussels Sprout Salad is another ESK creation you wish you had as a kid. I know it would've made me feel quite differently about the vegetable had I tasted it in my youth. Every small little sprout is bursting with flavor. It had me hunting them out in my salad. ESK is incredibly delicious and a restaurant for everyone, in my opinion.

More trailers and now a brick and mortar, East Side Kings is street food from James Beard Award winner Paul Qui and his partners in crime and deliciousness. Not to be missed are the pork belly steam buns and the beet fries. Just order one of everything and thank me in the morning.

Drop everything and go. We love the LIberty bar location. THe front is true Austin weird and a bit scary. However, once you go into the beer garden in back you will see huge long tables and awesomeness. I highly recommend it. CHeap booze... but why should you drop everything? The FOOD. OMFG!!! The trucks are the brain child of Paul Qui the Top Chef, and James Beard Award Winner for best chef in the southwest. The taste combo is amazing. Just think of Fried Brussel Sprouts with a salty and vinger taste... you will love it. THe Beet Fries are amazing.... Drooling, gotta go back be back later.

I visited ESK's behind the seedy little Liberty Bar in East Austin. It's a funky painted food truck owned by Top Chef winner, Paul Qui. The Pork Qui buns are delicious and even though I hate beets, I have to admit that the beet fries weren't all that bad. My husband and friends absolutely adored the Brussels sprouts salad.

Such good food. It's quick and fresh. The people are great. It's no wonder this place keeps expanding. This is the original location but the one in Hole in the Wall is really good too.

cleverly hidden(hidden in the fact that everyone knows its there). Behind Liberty bar and Shangri La, East Side King is Top Chef Winner, Paul Qui's, first foray into restaurant ownership. These trailer eateries were his trial run before opening up his magnum opus, and by the looks of the food, he isn't slowing down. Their "poor Qui's Pork Bely" sandwiches are on another level. Pork Belly, steamed bun, and sweet sauce that is just out of this world. Also get the Brussels sprout salad. I took a date here, ordered the Brussels sprout salad and she giggled "I've never seen a man order a Brussels sprout salad before". I told her "oh don't worry, when you taste this, you will see why I did". She became a convert on the first bite.
