More Google Project Fi Info from T-Mobile's Perspective
I'm fascinated by this deal. A true game-changer.

#TMobile   #Google   #ProjectFi
T-Mobile believes that it will have most of the traffic share under Project Fi, which will allow users to move between Wi-Fi networks and cellular networks depending on which one is the fastest.

Music Monday
Track: Just Got Paid
Artist - Album: Johnny Kemp - Secrets Of Flying
YouTube Link: https://youtu.be/jl1mQASHc48

I’m sorry to write that Johnny Kemp passed away the week of April 13, 2015. He was found in the waters off of Montego Bay, Jamaica.

I remember listening to his hit Just Got Paid many, many times in the late 80’s/early 90’s. Sorry to hear he’s gone.

Music Monday
Track: That's the Way I've Always Heard It Should Be
Artist - Album: Carly Simon - Carly Simon
YouTube Link: https://youtu.be/KvU3qnJa6-c

I could have sworn I posted Carly Simon in a Music Monday post before. Oh well. I get an opportunity to present a classic.

Full credit needs to go to lyricist Jacob Brackman (Carly wrote the music) for bringing searing lyrics like

“Their children hate them for the things they're not;
They hate themselves for what they are”

That hurts almost more than words can say.

This is a two-week streak of posting from 70’s soft-rock/r&b female singer-songwriters. I’m going to have to speed up the tempo for next week...

Music Monday
Track: Hey, That's No Way To Say Goodbye
Artist - Album: Roberta Flack - First Take
YouTube Link: https://youtu.be/ENfRfSzLeYA

Roberta Flack’s first album, First Take, is a stone cold classic. It was from back in the day, when soul didn’t necessarily mean bombast with an extra helping of melisma. “Just sing the song, Roberta.” And she DID.

The writing is incredible as well. People are covering “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face” to this day.

But that’s not the one I’m featuring. I’m going to her cover of Leonard Cohen’s Hey, That's No Way To Say Goodbye. Simple to the point of being sing-songy, but it ends up on constant repeat whenever I play it.

Try it out.

Music Monday
Track: The Burning Down
Artist - Album: King's X - Gretchen Goes To Nebraska
YouTube Link: https://youtu.be/7zkItKueuEc

This week’s share took a bit of a turn into left field. I haven’t paid any attention to King’s X in the past, but just listened to their 1989 album Gretchen Goes To Nebraska. I found myself putting the last song on the album on repeat, and so decided to share it here. Give it a try, and see if you do the same.

Track: Barrier Break
Artist - Album: Dieselboy + Kaos - Barrier Break (Single)

Some electronic music here. I played Need For Speed: Most Wanted on my Xbox until my fingers fell off back in the day, and this is one of the tracks. Perfect street racing music.

Let's face it. Putting Kenan and a chicken in the same sketch? We knew how it was going to end from the start.

Also, LOL. One of the funniest sketches in quite some time on SNL.

I always thought the potential to break stuff was part of the charm.

Possible I've been doing it wrong, though.

Edit: Holy crap, I've been doing it wrong, this is the coolest thing ever. When're they adding the stereoscopic bit?

Horrible phone service. All I did was call about hours of business, and I got an extremely curt, snippy answer from Tom. He's as bad as everyone else who reviewed him says. Don't give him any business! Drive further to another location. I know I will.
