Looooove takashis. If you can order a sashimi plate of whatever the chef recommends. A fun surprise every time.

Some of the best sushi I have ever had - not inexpensive, but fish is always fresh and great flavors! If you are open to it, just have them send you what they think is best and freshest. You will be happy.

The sushi was very good, although price was a little on the high side for some items. However, you could tell that the ingredients were very fresh and they are not too stingy with the fish like some places. It was a little different in that you explained what you wanted rather than checking off a list like at most places. The other menu items include a variety of "small" and "large" items. What I got for a "small" item would have been an OK size meal if combined with rice and soup. So altogether, though the sushi was a little higher than most places, the overall bill was about average for a restaurant dinner. The service was good. The atmosphere is: modern decor, very busy restaurant.

I have eaten a lot of sushi all over the country. This ranks in my top 3 all time. I love the modern style of this sushi using things like chilis and scallions or strawberries and mangos to augment the already fresh taste of their sushi. Hard to believe a sushi place that is this good is in Salt Lake City in the center of the country with the nearest ocean 1000 miles away.

Strawberry fields (spicy fresh peppers) and black magic woman were both awesome sushi rolls. Sit at the bar to watch some beautiful food art.

I thought the sushi was good but not even close to great. They do not use sauces well and some of the more common rolls seemed very plain. I also hate it when crab = crab salad, it just doesn't taste good. The restaurant was very hyped up to me and I came away disappointed. The service was good and our waitress was very attentive to us. My soda came in a can and cost like $2.50, this bothers me because I get no refill and I feel like I am getting jipped a little. Get a soft drink machine, it costs less and I don't feel like I am eating in a corner store.

Takashi is an amazing sushi restaurant! Their food was absolutely fresh (you can watch them make it) and they have so many different options you can choose from. From the calamari to the Yellow Tail, it was amazing! Friendly staff, somewhat high prices BUT, the cost is very much worth the visit and it is a more casual/formal setting. This is my favorite sushi spot so I highly recommend anyone to go to Takashi! They'll have a great experience!

This is by far the best sushi you will ever have. My favorite is the Strawberry Fields roll and the Sunshine roll. Heck they are all delicious! I work about a block from here and go at least once a week and have never had bad sushi! This place is AMAZING.
