I've been twice. This is a GREAT place for having an intimate time with someone. There are booths...and booths with curtains. (It might be best to plan to spend at least $100 for two people...)

I was looking for a unique place to celebrate a special evening with my husband and one of our friends. I had heard about the Melting Pot from my employer and checked out their website/menu online. It sounded perfect, so I made reservations online for May 31, 2014 at 5:30 pm. Between the time I booked the reservation and the date of our dinner, I took the time to look at some reviews online...primarily Yelp. I have to be honest, some of them were pretty negative and I considered canceling my reservation and finding a new place to go. Can I just tell you how glad I am that I stuck to my guns and didn't buy into that nonsense?!? We showed up at 5:30 and were promptly seated by two very friendly hostesses. She asked if we were celebrating any birthdays or anniversaries and when I explained that between the three of us we were celebrating 20 years of continuous sobriety, she was so cute...she said, "You might want to turn past that first page in your menu then." (The booze selections!) We all had a good laugh and she congratulated us all and even commented on what a huge accomplishment it was! Very quickly we were greeted by our server, Trevor. He asked if if was our first time experiencing The Melting Pot and we informed him that it was. He took the time to explain the process and made it so simple. Our table did the 4-course experience. We started out with the Cheddar Fondue...YUM. Trevor explained exactly what he was adding when he prepared it at our table. He even offered to get us more dippers (bread, veggies, apples) if we ran out. After the cheese came our individual salads. My husband and I ordered the house salad with their tangy house dressing, which is pretty much like a honey mustard dressing. They were fresh and crispy and delicious. Our friend ordered the California salad and by her OOHS and AAHS I'm going to assume she loved it. When Trevor explained the cooking styles to us for our entrees, we decided that we'd take the Mojo (Caribbean style). We're so glad we chose had hints of cilantro, citrus and garlic...can't go wrong with that. The entrees were surprisingly larger than I thought they'd be. We all had chunks of teriyaki steak, chicken, shrimp, spinach-artichoke ravioli, and even filet! The dipping sauces were awesome too. Then came dessert... Can I just say OH MY GOSH. We ordered The Flaming Turtle and it was unbelievable. There was such a wonderful variety of dippers...strawberries, marshmallows, brownies, bananas, pound cake... I was so grateful that I overlooked the negative reviews I had read and trusted my gut instinct or I would have missed out on this experience. So there I was sitting...grateful, full, and happy and to top it all off the Manager, Michael, stopped by our table to ask us about our experience and if there was anything else we needed. That was really impressive!!! We gave a glowing review of Trevor and will definitely be back in the future. One of the comments I kept seeing on reviews was about the price and that would be the only "bad" thing I might partially agree on. It was a little pricey, but I think that it is obviously a special occasion or "treat yourself" kind of place. It is definitely worth it. Look at it this's a completely interactive meal. Therefore, people aren't buried in their cell-phones for a whole 2 hours and actually speaking and interacting. Hell, that alone is worth what they charge! Great job Melting Pot! I would definitely recommend this and will be back. Oh! And we were given a survey to complete online and it comes with the opportunity to win free fondue for a year. I'm looking for an apartment on that side of town just incase ;)

Firstly. Right off the bat hostess was kinda rude and robotic. Then were seated the place is near pitch black. to the point where its creepy the waiters/waitresses must use military grade night vision to get around. Then the waiter tries to explain the menu, dosent really do so, then bolts off leaving me and the girlfriend with more questions then answers. Some how we concluded to get some kind of cheese fondue and meats for the main course. By the time we received the cheese we were still unsure about how it all worked. By the time we finished the cheese fondue we dident really want the main coarse. How that worked is for $30 a person they give you a pot of boiling broth water and a pile of raw meat. you cook it in the boiling water until your sure you will get food poising. The waiter vaguely suggested 2 min for most things but when the steak is still pumping blood it was more like 4min for 1 bite of food. So $30 a person gets you some cheese few peices of bread and 10 bite size peices of meat. $64.20 I wish I could have avoided.

We've been dining here off and on since 2004. New owner arrived in 2014 and started off by renovating the restaurant. We noticed an uptick in the attentiveness of the service and the food was fresh and plentiful. Hard to surpass the fun of fondue for parties and special occasions.

Was an awesome experience food was tasty but would only return for their dessert. We ordered the Smores chocolate and it was delicious! The Main entree was my least favorite simply because we had to boil our raw meat in broth and i am not a big fan but everything had good flavor. Service was amazing at this location i would also recommend the Tipsy Turtle. Dinner experience is about 5 hours.

The food was excellent our server was quite pleasant and super responsive. Not a good restaurant if you are in any kind of rush but great for a romantic dinner away from the kid.

I have been to the Melting Pot 3 times, all for birthday dinners. I purchased the photos and the balloons to make them memorable events. This last time on Oct 12, 2013, I had invited my parents to join us for our daughter's birthday. Dinner went as planned and we were waiting to have our picture taken. We were informed that the "printer" was down and that they would take the picture and email it to us right away. A week went by and I hadn't received the picture so I called and the hostess stated that she had my email and that they apologize and would send the picture as soon as possible. More time went by and still no picture. I contacted the General Manager and once again I was told that he was sorry, wasn't aware of the situation and would send the picture asap. I still have not received the photo nor a reason as to why I haven't received the photo. If I would have known that I wouldn't ever received the picture that I was promised, then I would've just asked the waitress to take the picture with my cell phone, as this was an important picture. My husband and father are battling cancer and tomorrow isn't a guarantee which is the main reason as to why we wanted the picture for memories. Very unprofessional, very insensitive, and very disappointing. For spending almost $300.00 that night I would think that they would at least provide me with some sort of response.
