Unfortunately my first experience at Maggiano’s was not a pleasant one. My family and I decided to take a break from shopping at the mall located right across the street from this little restaurant. The Manager appeared to be very accommodating with a big smile as she led us to our table. We walked, which seemed like forever, in an empty restaurant. When we finally stopped, we were sat in the back of the restaurant, in the corner, nearly in the kitchen. A Caucasian couple that came in after us were seated in the front of the restaurant, so our seating was certainly not due to waiter coverage. Hostesses and waiters passed our table, very active and loud. Because we have dignity, we simply got up and left. My family decided not to eat at this restaurant, as it was made very clear, black families were not welcomed.

We had made reservations 2 weeks in advance for a table of 10 and 8 people at 8 pm on a Friday night. We get there at 7:30 pm (bc usually even when you have reservations it can take a little bit to get the tables together- or so we thought) and the hostess is very nice, said that our tables were reserved and ready for us and if we want to grab a drink with our friends until the rest of the party showed up we could and our tables will be waiting. We grab drinks and several more of our party come- we go to grab our table and the hostess tells us "someone has sat in our table." They precede to tell us a party of 20 just came in and "took" our table. Imagine our frustrations..... however, thats where the frustration ended. The hostess assured us she will correct this and help us get our tables ASAP. The su-chef Ryan noticed a commotion over our area and came over to see what the problem is. We talked to the manager and things were settled within 15 min. It was incredible- they were all very nice and accommodating (our group comes from Denver, Oklahoma, etc and don't see each other often so we were not happy when they suggested originally to put us in two different areas). It was such a nice surprise with such a big group to be sat efficiently after a mishap. The chef, Ryan- said he would take care of us... and they did- we were brought out appetizers for our troubles. The food was delicious and you even get another meal to take home at the end of our night. This is a few days after we went because we just finished the left overs and those are delicious even after you reheat them. We had baked ziti, chicken fettuccine alfredo, lasagna, and ravioli... I might add you don't have to pick the same thing you ordered to take home... such a nice surprise. We will be returning to this location! Thanks again for making a frustrating situation hassle free!!

In September my sister-in-law had a baby shower and family from all over the United States came into town and were staying with us. We ordered food from Maggiano's and drove to pick it up. We should have checked the order before we left, but it was a lot to carry and we were in a hurry to get home. We got home and every entrée we ordered was missing the pasta that should have come with it. I was irritated but I understand that people make mistakes and I was willing to go back to pick it up. I called this location to ask about the missing pasta and they seemed put out by my phone call. They said that rather than going back to pick it up they would credit my card for what I paid. I said okay and made spaghetti myself to go with the entrees. They never credited my card. I called back a few days later to follow up on this matter and they hung up on me. I called back again and was put on hold for half an hour and then hung up on again. I figured they were busy so I waited a few days and tried again. For weeks they gave me the run around and they still didn't return my money. I contacted my credit card and disputed the charge. The credit card company refused to reverse the charge. Ironically, Maggiano's couldn't take the time to call me back or take my call but they took the time to fill out the paperwork regarding my dispute of charges. I used to like this place a lot. In fact, we threw an engagement party at this location for my sister-in-law. Over a hundred people showed up to that party. They were very attentive to the details when thousands of dollars were being spent. The service isn't the same anymore and I think we will be spending our money at other restaurants moving forward.

My boyfriend and I had lunch at Maggiano's earlier today. I hadn't been there in ages, but the food and service were as good as I remembered. I ordered the new chicken pizzaiola at the suggestion of our server. It was pretty good. My boyfriend ordered the chicken parmesean. it was such a large portion that he had leftovers for dinner tonight. We also got the pasta to take home. We were very pleased with the portions for how much we spent. All in all, we are definitely planning on visiting this location again.

Overall a fine experience when I had a party of 5 adults. This was early on a Friday evening, we had Open Table reservations, and from the moment we arrived until we left was everything we could expect from fine dining, even if it is a chain-type restaurant. I cannot take seriously anyone who can even remotely compare Maggiano's to a substandard, low-class excuse of an Italian restauant like The Olive Garden.

Always had great service and food here. Definitely recommend making reservations for Friday/Saturday evenings the day before so you don't have to wait long to be seated.

Have been here 3 times ... each time got worse. First time was with family, and it was wonderful. The food was really good. Second time, family goes back, b/c we're expecting the same great food and service. The second time, some of the food comes out cold and undercooked. The wait staff slipped on a few things. Last time I went, brother and I flew solo. The food prices had gone up, the food quality had gone down, and like other italian places they had opted to cheap out and offer more "flat bread pizzas" and other cheap-o fare. I ordered a bread pudding dessert... $10 for a small little square! I had a $50 gift card ... just the two of us eating 2 entree's, 2 iced teas and 2 desserts ... wiped out the gift card! Not going back. This is a place that thinks it's unique, high-end, fine-dining italian, but it's not. It's just puppy-milled italian you can find at any other italian chain restaurant, which, sadly, has gone down hill across the board around DFW. Basically, pretentious folks with too much money on their hands eat here in order to feel snobbish. If they were smart they'd go to a steakhouse, b/c pasta and pizza are cheap-o foods places like this are ripping you off on.
