I've come here a couple times and I really enjoy stopping by for a quick bite or drink during my stay at LACMA. Been here for brunch and as an afternoon snack. They make some great cocktails and have a great charcuterie plate you can share with friends. The Kobe and Egg Sandwich is my favorite thing here. It's nicely balanced in terms of flavor and textures. The breakfast pizza is something I'd stay away from as it was nothing special. But all in all, there are some great dishes here and its paired with great service from the people working here.

Lovely atmosphere & decor at this place, location is also a plus since this place is walking distance to quite a few bars and night clubs in LA on La Cienega. As you walk inside there's an option of indoor or patio seating, even the indoor area has an outdoor vibe . kind of reminds of dining at fine restaurant in Vegas. Ordered Ray's & Stark Bar Taine chicken which was unusually dark for chicken but quite flavorful. Heard good things about the lamb dish so looking forward to trying that next time. If you haven't been to this place then go check it out

Small portions of mediocre tasting food, not worth the steep price they charged. The only redeeming quality of "Ray's" was the service! Don't waste your money!

I took my fiancée here after dinner during Valentine's Day and it was an unforgettable experience. We dined at a restaurant nearby the LACMA lights and I took her here since I heard good things about the place. This cafe has a good vibe to it and awesome couches to chill in. We bought drinks and sat down at one of the long couches and just absorbed the presence of the night. It was a bit cold during night time but luckily there were heaters in certain areas of the cafe. There weren't many people either, even on Valentine's Day, which is a good thing. After we finished our drinks, we went over to the Urban Lights, which were just a few steps away from the cafe. The romantic atmosphere of the lights combined with the vibe of the cafe on Valentine's Day is amazing. I would suggest anyone to take their dates here on any occasion for an awesome night.

I was early for a screening at LACMA and since I had time to spare I decided to have dinner here. There was a private event going on so I couldn't sit at the bar but they had plenty of seating inside the dining room. The decor and ambiance is very artsy and modern (of course), and the staff was attentive and friendly. I had the Pilota (Crispy farro, toasted almonds, broccoli, scallions, apricot mostarda, goat cheese, Stone fruit), paired with a California Blonde Ale by Eel River. While the dish was delicious, vegetarian and healthy, at $17 the modestly-sized bowl was on the pricey side. Coupled with the beer my dinner came to over $30 with tax and tip. I understand that it's all local, farm-to-table stuff and the prices reflect that--just prepare yourself going in. While it was a pleasant experience and I'm glad I tried it out, I don't see myself going back any time soon.

Horrible.... Walking up to the front of this bar there is no one to be found at the hostess desk so I seat myself at a corner table that hasn't been cleared yet. None of the multiple empty tables have been cleared. I sit at this table because I have a bad back and the seats have high, comfortable backs. A couple comes in right behind me and waits, looking around confused. A very young guy passes me, looks at me then goes to talk to the couple. In a minute he approaches me and tells me I have to get up because the couple that just walked in is going to sit in my place. Mind you, there are multiple other empty tables. All dirty. All uncleared just like mine. I ask him why, and he tells me because I "didn't speak to the hostess". I point out that there is NO hostess visible and that the couple he is moving me for came in after me. He insists I have to move "because they spoke to him". I get up and walk toward the couple. I overhear them tell the young guy that they "didn't ask for my table and are not comfortable with me being moved as there are plenty of other tables." He then leaves the three of us standing there alone for the next 10 minutes. We all start talking and wondering what his problem is? He returns, seats them at the table I was seated at and leads me to another table. I point out that what he just did was rude, and absolutely pointless. If I had wanted a different table I would have sat there in the first place. I also point out that I came in ahead of the couple that he moved me for. They did not have a reservation. He tells me that I "should have spoken to the hostess." I point out there was no hostess and there is STILL no hostess visible, and the couple that came in after me didn't speak to a hostess either. He tells me that "all of the tables are the same." and tells me impatiently that "I should be comfortable anywhere." Clearly not true as the table I am led to has chairs with very low backs not at all comfortable for me and I say so. If all of the tables "are the same" then why did he move me? He leaves in a huff. So I sit there....and sit there. No one helps me. No one brings me a menu. No one brings me a glass of water. There are chips on every table but mine. After around 15 minutes, right as I am about to pack it in and leave, the same jerk finally comes back with a menu and asks condescendingly what I want? I ask if he "is my waiter". He huffs "No, of course not!" I order a glass of wine and ask to keep the menu because I might want something to eat. He leaves and again I sit there forever. Another couple comes in and sits at the table next to me. It is dirty. Uncleared like every other empty table there. We start talking. They sit there and a different woman finally comes to take their order. No one tells them they have to move. No one tells them they have to speak to a hostess (still not there) to be seated. Meanwhile I have an empty table. The new couple gets served, then a young waitress delivers my wine with an attitude. The couple next to me says something about it loudly. She is about to walk away when I finally ask about the young guy who was such a jerk. Turns out the kid is the manager!! You have got to be kidding me? What a mistake. This guy can't manage a half empty restaurant? Can't manage his waitstaff, tables are filthy and unbussed and has zero people skills. The hostess who finally appears shows open disdain for him, and the waitstaff is an unorganized mess. I finally get my wine, order a small snack and some water. Ask for the chips twice before they come to the table. Meanwhile, the couple next to me has been served. The couple that I was moved for? They were served a half hour prior. I have to ask for water three more times over a 20 minute period before it finally comes. I am served last. The couple next to me is disgusted and say so. The "manager" avoids our tables even though he was called to them. I have been to this restaurant many many times. I am a museum member. Until now I have always had a good experience. This place is in dire need of a real manager.
