I love that my local Smith's started selling mini cheese tasters. This one tastes incredible and was only $2.40 for about double what's in this photo plus the bit I nibbled off

Don't Hate the Phone Call, Hate the Phone

I'd always thought that phone calls in the 50s and 60s seemed special because it was relatively new technology, but this article looks at the design of the iconic 20th Century phone, the Western Electric model 500, and the impact it had on the communication.

from +The Atlantic
Our telephone habits have changed, but so have the infrastructure and design of the handset.

This little one was absolutely filthy when I got home today. She figured out how to get in the crawl space between our ceiling and the living room upstairs and has been looking for a way into our room when we lock her out for the night. Instead of getting in, she picked up enough dirt that my hand started turning brown when I pet her and the shower water was black as I washed her off

You can generate your own codes here:

HRQR - Human Readable Quick Response Code
Project by Valentin Heun is a new QR barcode that is human-readable (in English) as well as machine-readable:
HRQR is a visual Machine Readable Quick Response Code that can replace usual barcode and QR Code applications. The code can be read by humans in the same way it can be read by machines. Instead of relaying on a computational error correction, the system allows a human to read the message and therefore is able to reinterpret errors in the visual image.

WTF? Child theft, really? Please excuse me while I leave the room to laugh hysterically at you...

Gays aren't trying to steal your children, especially not since there are so many waiting to be adopted already

Saw this at the local knick knack shop and +Del Nielson enjoyed it so much I just had to get it. He's been reading it to me since I got home and it's amazing!

Above - The eagle is above Chico. It is over Chico
Abandon - Father is trying to abandon us. He is trying to start a new life without us.

Plus there's pretty 50s style clipart with each definition!

Original study likely came to the conclusion it did because asking people how their guts are doing causes them to answer in the negative regardless of what they're eating.

Just finished at gay Lagoon day. Rode the Colossus 11 times with 10 times being in a row. Got to ride the new Cannibal twice and it was smooth as a Mercedes. Then we did all the old rides that were rickety, scary, and the most fun!

Your somewhat friendly gay atheist computer geek
Introduction
As the tagline said, I'm a gay atheist computer geek that loves beautiful algorithms to beautiful men and everything in between.

I get little urges to build contraptions from time to time and have a wonderful time doing so and many times making tutorials after they are done so that others can follow in my footsteps. Some of my latest builds have been surrounding hookah, aquaponics, ZFS, and Debian.

I'm a complete introvert but appear to be extroverted when in a social situation, if I tell you that I want to be alone it's not because I don't like you nor because I need to be pulled out, I just need some time to recover.

I do have a very kinky and dark side that I show here and there but flit around in public like a little kid. Very ADHD and distracted by bright shiny objects as I flit from place to place. Best of luck to you in keeping up both physically and mentally.

Had a wonderful experience with extremely fun and respectful guys. The staff was incredibly helpful and supportive and were offering suggestions of places to try while visiting the area. The location was clean and safe as well.

Got into a fender bender that crumpled my hood. These guys had my car fixed up and looking great again in no time. You really can't tell that I had an accident save for a few hairline seams on the bottom of the hood where they bent it back into place. They were very nice, professional, and dealt with my insurance company to get everything taken care of for me.

Always an inviting atmosphere with fast and attentive servers, good food, and large portions for the price. The max I've had to wait for a table was 25 minutes no matter how busy they get.

In from Utah, took a Lyft ride from San Francisco which ended up costing me $30, called ahead of time and everything sounded like it would work fine with my temporary drivers license (which is all Utah gives for ~6 weeks until your real license comes in the mail) and only once we got there did they tell me that they could not accept this valid state issued photo id because it was on paper and California no longer does temporary ids.
