Applications for Australian delegates are now closed, but there's still two weeks for Chinese delegate applications. The Australia-China Youth Dialogue is the premier forum for annual bilateral youth driven diplomacy. The 2012 ACYD will be in Beijing and Chengdu from 19-24 October. 15 Australians and 15 Chinese aged 18-35 who are selected from an incredibly high calibre pool of applicants will spend 6 days with over 50 distinguished experts in a series of intense discussions, debates, dialogues, simulations and revelry on issues as diverse as economics, arts, geopolitics and international relations, biodiversity and local environmental issues, China's government reforms, civil society, philosophy and the rule of law.
ACYD is organised with the Chinese University Media Union (All-China Youth Federation) and supported by the Australia-China Council of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the Australia-China Business Council, Rio Tinto, ANZ, Qantas and Capital M.
This is not to be missed. If you know any talented young Chinese who may like to apply, encourage them to check out the website: www.acyd.org.au
