"If talking is so important, why is it so hard?" This excellent question is posed in the attached resource that provides advice on opening up to loved ones about advance care planning (from the National Hospice and Palliative Care Association). National Decisions Day is TODAY - April 16! Help us spread the word. What's your plan if you should ever have a healthcare crisis that causes you to be unable to speak for yourself? Think about it; write it down; and share it with your closest friends or family!

Please SHARE this WDIO interview clip with your circle of friends to help spread the word about Crescent Cove's mission to build our region's FIRST EVER pediatric respite and hospice home. Nearly 10,000 children in Minnesota alone are going without these important services as of today. Let's help Crescent Cove BUILD THIS HOUSE so that our precious kids and their families don't have to go another day, week or year without the support they need. Thank you!

Our very own Erin Ebnet from St. Croix Hospice in Sartell was spotlighted recently in a lovely story published in the St Cloud Times. Read what led her to a career in Music Therapy and how she uses her passion for music to support others at end-of-life.

Meet Lindsey, RN, and join us in acknowledging her fantastic nursing achievement! Lindsey has earned her Certification in Hospice and Palliative Nursing (CHPN)! As we've explained previously, the CHPN examination is a rigorous and thorough test of Lindsey's competence in end-of-life care nursing. We are very proud of you Lindsey, RN, CHPN! Congratulations on this exclusive achievement in nursing!

Excellent interview explaining the mission of hospice while revealing the truth behind some of those pesky hospice myths. Kudos to Northland's NewsCenter KBJR KDLH for bravely taking on this topic, and to our very own Kris Linner, Director of Spiritual Care, for her eloquent narrative! #novemberishospicemonth

THANK YOU to KTTC TV in Rochester for sharing this absolutely lovely couple and their hospice story with the public. In this piece, Frank, Mary Jo, and St. Croix Hospice RN, Barb, let people know that those who are on hospice are still LIVING! They have not given up! "Hospice provides a lifeline."

*CLARIFICATION* Patients are eligible for hospice for, AT LEAST, the last 180 days (6 months) of life as long as they are clinically eligible. Some patients outlive the 6 month prognosis, and that does not automatically disqualify them from the program.
