Good place, but needs A/C in there. Otherwise, its fun to be on the warf next to the boats as they come and go.

We were on assignment to shoot images for some magazines and chose the Harborview Inn and RV Park. We made the right choice. The location was in perfect juxtaposition to many area amenities and places the North Coast offers visitors to see. At the end of the day, sitting with a glass of wine and watching amazing sunsets at waters edge just 50 feet from our room was simply perfect. There was a fire pit to enjoy at night and a gas grill to do ones BBQ'ing on! Oh... and when you catch your crabs right off the dock, there is an area for guests to cook their crabs! What hotel on the Oregon Coast does that for its guests? The staff was always helpful, rooms were spotless and we could not say enough about what we experienced during our three day stay. While we normally stay a bit farther south, this location simply had us wanting to plan another photo shoot and come back! Our stay was wonderful. Sincerely, Alan and Consuelo Huestis

We have been camping here for three weeks and just love it. Everyone is friendly and most helpful. We are planning on a two month stay next summer. The location is perfect. Blackberries are free for the picking. There is a community fire pit {you supply your own wood} with many chairs around for your enjoyment. Friends visited last week and stayed in room nine. Very nautical. The room was clean and the towels quite "plush". They will definitely return! Rates for the RV camping and rooms are very reasonable. It will be hard to leave in another week, but already planning next years visit!

We loved our experience here! Everyone was very nice and it is a family friendly environment. In talking with the owners, it is evident that they want to create a great experience for their guests. We will definitely be back!

Best group of people working here! Hospitality was sincere. We only stayed one night but if we come back this will be the spot we stay the majority of our vacation. Really liked the people! Facilities were nice also, and they were busy repainting.

I love this place! The owners are amazingly friendly and informative. They are very helpful if you are new to crabbing, plus they supply crabbing equipment, including the bait. This is the second year we have come and brought along a kayak to paddle around the bay (the year before I tried Kayak Tillamook to paddle around the bay which I also recommend). You can even see bay seals swimming about. It is next to a lumberyard though and has all the associated noises that entails during the day, but this place is worth it. Bring your own personal items and you are good to go. The rooms are comfortable and quite quiet and there are restaurants walking distance away, as well as gas and a local museum. Plus the views are fabulous and the town is small and not crammed with people. I plan to come at every year.

First of all, I have read many of the reviews of the Harbor Inn. Many of the ones that said the were unhappy with the facility said that "their vacation had already started off bad" before they got there. So, they were already in a bad mood. I read another that gave it a poor rating because there was no hair dryer in the room, really? I like amenities as well, I am a member of the Hilton Honors and enjoy a nice room. From my experiences traveling and staying in almost every city on the Oregon Coast, Harbor View Inn is a place for people that want to get out and be active. If you plan on staying in your room all day watching TV and complaining about the noise from the mill and the active fishing fleets in the area, this is not for you. Don't get me wrong, they do have quite a few things going for them to give you a unique experience. However, if you like to be where the action is at, this is the spot. After all it is in an active harbor so there will be some traffic. I have a friend had previously stayed at the hotel. He told me that the hotel rooms are small, cute, but very clean. The pricing really reflects that. I decided to bring my new camp trailer for a first get-a-way and set it up in the RV PARK. I knew very little about crabbing, clamming or ocean fishing. The people that run the place were awesome. Jeff showed us the proper and easiest way to clean the clams, in his kitchen, (which is for public use) with his tools, pots and pans and our mess all while still tending to the phones and checking people in. We also cooked our crabs in his kitchen because I didn't want to make a mess in mine, we offered to clean our mess like normal people would but he insisted we leave it so we could catch low tide for clamming. They do have a clamming clinic where he will actually take you out and teach you everything their is to know. We wanted to be rebels and do it on our own, yet still found ourselves floundering back for help. They also have a small BBQ for use, laundry, wi-fi, and the kicker.....SMORES! Which, they bring all of the necessities, you just show up and eat. Genuinely great people. Some people have complained about the mill running in the area, but unless you plan on hanging out next to the adjacent fence all day, you don't notice it. I'm a light sleeper and didn't hear anything. Quite park as well, not for the wild and rowdy, which was nice because I felt comfortable leaving my gear in the bed of my truck and no one touched it. I will be back soon! They are under newer (3 years or so) ownership, so to me the reviews older than that are garbage. One last note, to the guy that posted "we stayed there last year and it was horrible", why did it take you an entire year to post your review? Holding a little grudge? Thanks for reading a real review from an actual customer that had one hell of a time.

Don't be fooled! Subpar service at a rundown motel. We stayed here last year. If you like smelly, unclean, and antiquated furnishings, I highly recommend this place! To start, we did not sleep well due to poor quality mattresses. Next, we were promised a voucher for a restaurant or a cafe, yet we did not receive either. Instead they made us a breakfast burrito. Our dogs wouldn't even finish the burritos after we determined them to be inedible after a few bites. We checked out with no issues, however a few days later we found a charge of $100 on our credit card. We called to find out as to why we were charged. Their explanation was that, upon entering the room, they found throw-up, poop, and pee. It was incredulous because ours dogs never have done no such thing. Besides the fact that it was personally insulting to our integrity that, if our dogs had done any of those things, we would have just left it. Needless to say, they would not refund the charge. My advice, don't stay here unless you want to be robbed.
