We have been going here for years! Best food in Houston, always fresh, large portions, and great service. We bring our friends here for a fun evening! Our grandkids would rather go here than anyplace else. If you are young, you will have a great evening of fun, and enjoy the live music. If your older, you will have a enjoyable evening. Kids or no kids, this is the place to enjoy a great meal, large drinks and some of the most friendly staff in town. Be prepared to make new friends, People seem to always return time and time again!

I went with my wife on a Friday night for dinner around 6:30pm. The place was filling up quickly but we were still seated in 15 minutes. There are many perks to this restaurant. - Good atmosphere - Great servers - $2.50 draft beer - Large portions - Correctly priced food Second best Mexican food restaurant in Houston. (Lopez is still number one) During cool weather time the patio at El Jarrito should be amazing

The food is great! We love the fajitas, excellent. Everything that we have tried so far great. Gil, the manager is a sweetheart. I love the margaritas.

Every Texan on Earth has "that one Mexican place" that has the best Tex-Mex you'll ever find anywhere, on either side of any border. El Jarrito is mine, and I recommend it to anyone looking for a great plate of Tex-Mex. Everything I've ever had on the menu is fantastic and flavorful. El Jarrito is the benchmark; the one restaurant I judge every other Mexican restaurant against. Since I moved to Texas in 1997, all challengers have been deficient in some way, and El Jarrito consistently defends its crown.

Went to pick a to go order. Some lady, long hair manager type. Just threw the food towards me and spoke in a RUDE manner. No customer service skills at all. I will never go back.

I have been across America living from California to Vermont to Texas and lots of states in between, and yet I have NEVER been able to find a better Mexican restaurant that has the quality of freshness in their food (no canned yuck), wonderful services and GREAT prices. I have been going to El Jarrito for almost 18 years. I HIGHLY recommend this place over the other "chains" in the Katy area.

Ordered the fajita steak with Monterrey cheese and peppers... wow, soooo tender and juicy! The house margaritas were STRONG unlike so many other places. Better quality, much faster service, not as overpriced and NO waiting outside for a table! I will be back to El Jarrito!

Very nice infrastructure, but the food it's definitely not Mexican, it's texmex which is not even close to real Mexican cuisine, I asked for the "pollo con mole" since it was the day special and even the waiter told me that most people don't like it because it really terrible, and it is. I don't recommend it as Mexican food also over priced. Sorry for those that are satisfied with their food but I know what Mexican cuisine is since I'm a cook and lived there many years.
