I like the old Hollywood waves look too. Also, the Flirty Fifties with Miranda Kerr.

How do we feel about the black lipstick look?

Awesome!  That goes perfectly with some pure, glistening black pearls in a matching necklace and earrings to set off a coordinated fashion statement with a theme far more elegant than mere Gothic for the same of Gothic novelty. Wonderful! :-)

I usually come to Mosheta for gel manicures, which are always done well, but this past weekend I thought I'd take advantage of their $25 blowout deal. Honestly, the blowout itself looked fine when I left, but my stylist (younger Asian woman with -- fine -- beautifully dyed silver hair) did not use heat protector on my hair. She didn't apply any product til the blowout was done. This is rule #1 for literally anyone who cares about their hair, nonetheless someone who does hair for a living. Naturally, I stopped her to ask about products she'd be using as soon as I realized she was about to take a blow drier to my wet and naked hair. The stylist then told me they didn't have heat protector in the salon. No heat protector in a salon in downtown Toronto's Fashion District, huh? I wasn't about to leave the salon with wet hair so I let her go to town. I totally regret it. As I said, it looked fine when I left, but it's been two days and my hair looks like crap. Good blowouts last at least a week. Since this was the salon special, I expected at least 5 days. I guess this is what you get when the basic products necessary for the process are not on hand. Anyway, do your nails at Mosheta but do not let anyone touch your hair -- they are literally and figuratively unequipped.
