On Tuesday, June 17th, our sixth grade track team participated in the NYRR Young Runners Championship at Ichan Stadium, Randell's Island.  With five athletes (Adrian Switf-Henry, Jacqueline Kendall, Nefertari Deschamps, Tevohn Brooks and Raphael Joseph) we were able to generate team points and 3 medals.  The official results were not posted at the end of the meet, but we know Jacqueline took 3rd in 1 mile run and finished in the top 3 in the girls 400 meter race.  Adrian took 3rd in the 1 mile run.  Raphael may have earned a medal in the boys 400 meter race.  Great job Eagles! #FT

Eagles advance to semi finals!

On June 10th, Equality's 6th grade basketball team played Promise 1 in the first round of playoffs.  We were in 3rd place and even though we were a higher seed,  they still had home court advantage.  The game started with great defense which led to easy baskets for Equality.  Jaiden Marrero had 5 steals and 23 points!  George Dawkins had a key block and a clutch basket to seal the game with a minute left, and finished with 2 blocks, 4 rebounds and 4 points!  Coach Cooper was very proud of the team's mental focus.  Lets go Eagles!  Next game's date TBD.   #FT
