OK. I've been yo all of the Superior Grill locations. I've always liked this location and layout. Food had been so so lately, not bad but not like it use to be. Best part of this one is the bartender Tony. His attitude is top notch and he gets everyone having fun at the bar. He is always smiling and gets people talking. Something i appreciate being a local.

The food had good flavor, but the portions were small for the price. The menu wasn't descriptive enough. My shrimp fajitas didn't come with all of the normal fixins and the shrimp had the full shell left on. The waiter said they commonly get complaints about this. Maybe they should consider removing the shell or at least mentioning it on the menu. The sangria was great, but the margaritas were too sweet and both were a bit pricy. There are too many great options in New Orleans, so we won't be back.

I know this place isn't a culinary destination but this restaraunt and location on St. Charles is a New Orleans landmark. The chips and salsa is great and the cheap american style tex-mex is certainly filling and tasty. Also, don't forget about all the frozen drinks they offer. It's a local spot for happy hour drinks on Friday along with always being super crowded from decades of tradition on Wednesday nights. Great place for kids or a big group. It's easy and always good!!

Overpriced lunch portion was tiny, to say the least. Ordered chicken fajitas, which they obviously placed pre-cooked onions on top of a sizzling skillet with 4 slices of grilled chicken...not kidding 4 slices of chicken for $12! The bell pepper was raw and didn't even touch the skillet to cook it. Chips & salsa were good but also paid $8 for a very tiny margarita, which was very good but so small you don't even get a buzz! My son ordered a hamburger which was also overpriced & pre-fab at $13! There are much better places to go down there!

Superior Grill has a nice exterior and a beautiful, nicely decorated, classy interior. I ordered the Dos Tamales ($8.99) lunch special which came with two pork tamales, refried beans, and Mexican rice. It was good and filling, but nothing better or worse than any other typical Mexican restaurant. I would go back, though. RJT
