Hi,
me again :)
Would it be possible to add the following line to /usr/share/psa-roundcube/config/php.ini.tpl by default:
"disable_functions ="

In Hosting environments one usually wants to disable certiain functions in default php.ini. Disableing the "bad" functions though also breaks roundcube.

Having the above option in the template will get roundcube to work again and preserve this setting for all future updates when the following is called:
/usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/phpinimng --type=cgi "/etc/psa-webmail/roundcube/php.ini" < "/usr/share/psa-roundcube/config/php.ini.tpl"

Regards,
Kristian

But I respectfully disagree. While this is true for normal situations, a bug in php in combination with unlimited access to php functions could lead to problems. (See php symlink bug). My opinion is that "sufficient" is not good enough for Plesk. This is the leading product. It should be at the top of the class. And this should include code audits to see what functions and privs are required by subsystems and limit them to only what is required. This should be standard procedure IMHO. But I am sure the guys behind the scenes know best. As Kristian knows, I am a little paranoid about security. He he.

Hi,

is it possible that PSA 11.5 has not yet been released for Ubuntu 10.04 x86? I can only see 11.5.29 when calling autoinstaller with "--all-versions". If I call autoinstaller without any parameters, all I get is Version 11.0.9.

Thanks
Kristian

Is this only for Ubuntu 10.04 x86 or is it in general for Plesk 11.5?

Thanks
Kristian

Hi,
is it possible, that after upgrading or installing Plesk 11.5.30 and it actually doing automatic microupdates in the night, that it always fails to bring back xinetd services? On several CTs that have Plesk 11.5.30, FTP service fails after every Plesk microupdate. Can anybody else confirm this issue?

Regards,
Kristian

Hi,

I have a dedicated Server (no CT) that has this effect today.

xinetd is restarted, but as it seems it only stops. The logs give the same information. This is a snippet from /tmp/plesk_11.5.30_installation.log:

--- snip ---
===> Checking for previous installation ... found.
Trying to register service xinetd...  System start/stop links for /etc/init.d/xinetd already exist.
done
Trying to restart service xinetd...  * Stopping internet superserver xinetd
   ...done.
 * Starting internet superserver xinetd
   ...fail!
done
--- snap ---

The OS on all affected systems is Ubuntu 10.04. There is no information in syslog why xinetd fails, all it says is that it's exiting:

--- snip ---
Aug 15 06:36:23 moon050 xinetd[1316]: Exiting...
--- snap ---

If you need any additional information, please let me know.

Regards,
Kristian

Hey,

anyboidy know if there is a way to have plesk check for a more recent Key from CLI? within Plesk one can select "Retrieve Keys". I'd really like to have an option to do the same from CLI.

Thanks
Kristian

Hi,
sorry for the late reply, but I was able to test it today and in deed, it works as expected now. Thank you for this improvement!

Hi
just read that Plesk 11.5 is due to be released by June 13th.
Any chances to sync this version prior release via rsync to our mirrors?

Thanks
