The best fish sandwich in the beaver valley. They use only fresh fish, most places use frozen fish. New management has done some awesome new menu ideas with pannini sandwiches and various specials during the week. If you have not been to Rooks in a while give it a shot. They have done a lot of updates to the dining room and bar as well much more inviting. Great family spot as well with a very friendly kids menu.

I've been a non frequent visitor here since the early 1990's when I worked at the Hub parts store a few doors down. In 20 years of occasional visits I've never been unhappy. As to the guy taking about fights and skin heads, I have never seen anything at all like this while stopping for lunch or dinner. My favorite sandwich from Rooks is the Italian Fowl Ball (Chicken with sauce and cheese) and the wings at Rooks have always been great. I recommend that you absolutely do consider this option for lunch and dinner. Maybe things get rough as the night goes on, but during the day and early evening it is common to see working class folks dressed in business/casual and even a suit or two sitting and enjoying a meal.

This is by far the worst bar i've ever been to in my life. The owner is a skinhead racist who likes to just get people drunk and fight them... he pushed my pregnant fiance like she was a rag doll.... i suggest never trying out this place as it may result in getting into a fight or arrested... that was my first time there and we will definitely never go back... the waitresses are just as bad, screaming and yelling at patrons as they leave the bar... calling them derogatovry names and pushing people around... this was the worst experience at a bar that i've ever had... -5 stars for this place...

I was really excited to visit Rook's under new management. They have expanded the menu. Scrubbed the walls, floors and tables, enhanced the lighting but forgot to train their servers. I could cite specifics but will leave it at... hands on management and daily owner presence will increase the effectiveness of the help. If left to their own, they staff will only strive to meet the minimum standards. I know they can do better.

The fish sandwich is awesome! The new owner is trying hard to make updates in the restaurant. We enjoy this place!

As of nov 2011 Rooks is under New Ownership and it really shows! New roof, place is cleaned and painted still has all the old menu items, but good new menu items have been added. Can really tell some one is there all the time and really cares about restoring the good old days again to rooks...give it a try! Same great friendly staff too!
