Old-school place with booth seating & brick walls offers casual, diner-style American fare & drinks.- Google
"Dive bar with some decent late night food."
"Cheap/strong drinks, fun homely atmosphere, almost like a borderline locals bar."

Just had one of the best omlettes of my life at this place! Excellent service, super comfortable atmosphere, I could not ask for more from an establishments offering all that they do. I would consider this a one-stop-shop pub/eatery/billards. Its like three places in one, seeing you can tell that historically it was once three different businesses that they knocked down the walls of. So cool to walk through all three. First, get yourself some diner food at My Fathers Place, then go through the wall to the pub next door and get yourself a drink hopefully form Scott cuz he's not only awesome making great drinks but has a warming, friendly personality. Waitress at My Fathers place was excellent service too. If you'd like, feel free to explore to billards through the next wall over. Definite repeat when in the area!

Been here 3 times for Sunday brunch. If you are looking for a place with updated decor... this isn't it. If you are looking for a place that serves huge portions of food that isn't greasy and has good flavor.. this is it.Bloody Marys are decently priced and have nice ingredients. Service can be slow when it is busy, but the servers are nice and apologetic when it happens. If you need to get your next refill of coffee, as your fix isn't satisfied yet. They wont say anything if you pour yourself a refill.Prices are inline with other taverns/ restaurants of this ilk. Don't expect fantastic coffee... but you wont get brown tasteless water either.

I went to MFP after a play at Milagro Theatre and the waitress was very nice, service was quick, but the place does scream dive bar / old dinner. It looks funky because of the decor and all the board games around, but our food was just ok (pancakes, fried eggs, hashbrowns and scrambled eggs) and the place feels really stuffy. I'd go again and just have fries or a grilled cheese if I was late around MFP.

This place is great, the wait staff has always made me feel welcome like family. On Wednesday night they have the biggest board game night in Portland, which is totally worth checking out!

Been here several times, first time was my 21st birthday with my dad, which incidentally is where he and his father used to go for lunch while working the docks. Food is good and I've brought my fiancée here since then as well and she likes it.

Nice space and pretty good bar but the female bar tender that was there when I went seems to be bi-polar. She seemed fine all night but when my wife tried to close out my card (she'd seen us order together all night) she refused to close the tab with her a called her a c***. I'm fine with the policy if she can't give the card to someone other than the cardholder, but obviously there's some wrong with the woman. Giving it two stars assuming that she'll get fired eventually and the place will be better for it. I've a friend whose also been treated poorly by the same lady. She was big"er".

I go here all the time, because my friends love it. I keep trying to find something on the breakfast menu that is good. Most of it is just average, and the huevos rancheros were by far the grossest thing I have tried in a long time. I guess I will just keep getting o'briens. meh. Also take note that all the good reviews are from people who came here drunk.
