Great summary of the likelihood of harm that uninformed therapists are having on many clients and families of clients. Hard to fathom how this nonsense continues given all the studies and data.

Truth and latest news.
On June 24, 2016 our adult daughter wrote an email to a number of family members. This was exciting news for all of us who love Grace. After public confrontations and false accusations in June of 2015 (based on pseudo memories) all immediate family members were "cut off" and all communication ...

A small light in the darkness begins to emerge.
On June 24, 2016 our adult daughter who had cut off all contact with me and my wife and all her siblings in June of 2015 wrote an email to some of us who were "cut off". While the content of the emails were not entirely positive this contact was a sign that with careful communication there may ...

Great read and very informative. A must read for teachers and youth ministers. It will definitely influence my class policies for the remainder of my career.
A shortened version of this review was posted at Amozon.com on 12/22/2016. Geoffrey Armstrong, authors this book that details, in first hand narrative, his experience of being accused of child sexual abuse when in fact he was completely innocent. He was a dedicated teacher full of energy in ...

Another story of how insurance actually harms many by providing a path that allow for inducing sickness and profiting from it. So sad and tragic.
In spite of decades of evidence and the overwhelming recognition by experts that the techniques used to uncover "repressed memories" actually create fantasies that never occurred there continues to be those who use and profit...

One can survive.
The hike of the Grand Canyon is spectacular experience. Hikers and guides from around the world come to do the hike for the breath taking views and the thrill of the accomplishment. In the summer the temperatures quickly rise from 40 F (at 4 AM at the trail head) to 110 F (or higher at the ...

I am now mature, stout, persistent, focused but sometimes rough. Your tolerance is appreciated!
Introduction
My family has provided me with an adventure no other life investment has dared to match in terms of genuine return.   My wife of 39 years, 6 wonderful children, 12 grandchildren are all a special gift to me.  Science education is my vocation of 38 years (mostly Physics but also Chemistry, Physical Science, Computer Science among others). I am a lifetime member of the "Modeling Teacher Association" and I have been a trainer of teachers in modeling, PRISMS and the Alabama Science in Motion program.  My Catholic faith offers me solace, joy and growth in every area of my life.
Bragging rights
My wife of 39 years, 6 wonderful children, 12 grandchildren. I spent 4 years in the United States Air Force during a time of downsizing and rose in rank to Sargent prior to Honorary discharge after 4 years. Numerous national, state and local awards as science teacher. Coached students 10 state titles in intellectual competitions (4 in chess and 6 in Physics). A wife of more of 38+ years, 6 wonderful children by same wonderful wife, still increasing numbers of grandchildren (+12). I attempt to survive wilderness excursions (love the Grand Canyon) each summer and have been successful at this so far.

I have worked at 5 different high schools both public and private in three different states in 38 years. This is a large private high school with a wide variety of programs. Students can focus on extracurricular interests and programs like athletics and/or band while taking less time consuming classes. Students can take Aquinas Academy level coursework that includes and exceeds Advanced Placement and Baccalaureate programs (I have taught in both of those at nearby schools). Students leave the school and do well in the military, junior colleges, state universities, elite colleges (like MIT or Yale) and Military Academies. I used ACT scores and College Board Benchmark Data from 2012 and found that our graduates ON AVERAGE when compared to the average state student: are 1.4 times more likely that other state students to make a B in the first college English class, 1.7 times more likely to make a B in the first college Math course.. 1.9 times more likely to make a B in the first college Science course. So the data confirms my suspicions. This is a fabulous school. 4 of my 6 children went here (even when I taught elsewhere) and all of them have degrees or are in the pipeline to get one. Education is much more than academics and the school is definitely Catholic with an emphasis on character, faith and knowledge. Superior opportunity for students who attend but, of course, opportunity is what you make of it!

Fabulous church, great school with caring teachers & great administration! The greatest of all assets is having a staff and administration with Catholic values that follow Catholic teachings and have a staff that live out those teachings

Nice pool. Nice games. If you have anything to do over the internet then forget this place. The Tango internet connections are cumbersome, slow and almost useless. My daughter has gotten to the point that she says "Oh no. The KOA internet is just like all the other KOA's. It doesn't work." Instead of a cabin I guess we should have checked into a motel where the internet actually works. Geesh.
