Today we bid a sad but well-deserved farewell to a loyal and hardworking colleague, Roger Howells.
Rog joined us back in 1995, most recently working as a sawyer. Aged 71 he leaves us today to enjoy a hard-earned rest, and his retirement.
He has many jobs planned including rebuilding an old bike, a Triumph Bonneville which he stripped down back in 1975!!!! We just hope he can remember how it all fits back together...
Enjoy it Roger and take care x

Before & After...leaving the works today, a replacement cap for an entrance pillar.
Original dates back around 100years, crafted from Forest of Dean Pennant sandstone.
The replacement was worked from a square block of our mixed colour Pennant sandstone. It was dressed on four sides before being turned onto what became the base. Drafts were then cut into the centre point which left four quadrants which then in-turn were dressed also.
This is a typical design for a cap and was worked by mason, Will.
