First time trying fish and chips ever ever in my life! Was excited to try this place considering the high reviews! Please note that the place is a food truck with outdoor sitting, so I brought my dog. My friends and I ordered the fish and chips for $11 something. And they gave us 2 huge pieces and french fries. We all did not like the french fries, it was dry, and not fresh. The fish was OK, not mind-blowing like what I have hoped for... Tasted kinda bland, I had to sprinkle a lot of salt and tartar sauce to add flavor. Will come back only because the price is good and the portion is huge.

Fresh cod and very large portions. Everything tasted great, but it was a very large meal especially with the fries. I would give it 5 stars, but it was a lot of fried food to overcome. The Cod is amazing though. Would go back and probably share a portion. Also had the deep fried oreos and those were also a hit.

Best Fish and Chips!!! We ordered 2 portions but we didn't realize how big the portions were. They were nice enough to refund us for one portion. Rule is as long as it doesn't leave the truck they can accept a refund.

Stopped in San Francisco for the day with my family on our way up the coast. We were looking for great fish and chips and chose this food-truck type restaurant on a recommendation from a friend. My husband, two young kids and I walked here around 11:30 on a weekday and found one table open for seating. The menu is short and sweet and we ended up with two orders of fish and chips and two junior orders for our kids, along with a side of Baja sauce to share. The fish was served in two HUGE pieces per order. Even the junior size was way too big for our kids (ages 5 and 2, afterwards we realized they also have a kid size which is smaller than the junior size...take note!) The fish was good, crunchy beer batter and flaky filet. The fries were thick cut and not too greasy. Baja sauce was really good and worth a try! We were tourists for a day and so we decided that the food was worth the money, for the experience that we can't necessarily get every day. However if I lived nearby I would probably find a different spot for a regular lunch as the food was nothing special for the price.

Deliciously fresh fish and chips. Fish is flakey and delicious and fried to a NOT greasy PERFECTION. Best I've had and the staff was super friendly. GOOGLEs map is wrong. It's around the corner but the extra 45 steps is worth it. All I can say is GO GO GO!!

The fish and chips here are outstanding. As are the deep fried Oreo cookies. But the best part of the Codmother is the Codmother herself. The British woman who runs this food truck is delightfully charming and a treasure. She's gracious and hilarious. She's worth the wait in line, alone, and then you get this second reward of incredible food!

My husband and I just ate here and I had to write a review (something I rarely do). The food was amazing - we both had the combo with baja sauce. The fish was really fresh and huge portions. On top of the great food the owner was beyond welcoming. She was genuinely the nicest person. She takes pride in her recipes and the freshness of food they serve. I would recommend going earlier because while we were there they sold out of fish (a Monday at 5:45).
