New Gear! And a shoe review - Asics Gel Noosa Tri 9
I got several new things in the mail in the last couple of days, so I thought I'd share my thoughts. First, I got some new gloves - Pearl Izumi Women's Running Gloves They fit very snuggly and seem warm.  I like that the wrist has a snug elastic-y band that...

Juice and collard wraps, plus lots of running... sort of....
Yesterday was great.  I had green juice in the morning and beet/apple/carrot for lunch.  By dinner I was starving and decided to have collard wraps.  I filled them with avocado, carrots, onions, cucumbers, tomatoes and a little olive oil and vinegar.  They ...

I ended up applying to 24 schools after all.  I have applied to so many because I want to have the best chances at scholarships.  And I had to contact all the schools to let them know that I wasn't taking the LSAT in February, because all but Yale considere...

My law school choices are now going to be based on the weather and how it affects my running schedule
This is really annoying me.  I can't run outside.  I can't use the treadmill.  The campus gym is an hour and a half away. So with my new 2 part daily workout, here's how it went today and I think I'll keep it this way: 9am - Mini tramp run - I had to wait u...

Decisions, decisions...
Ok so here is the final decision. I'm not retaking the LSAT after all.  This is for a couple of reasons.  One is that my scored have become pretty erratic and I'm worried that it will get worse not better.  I also have zero motivation to study for it for a ...

Not So Successful...
Ok my first run outside was revelatory but not in a good way.  Let's break it down. 1.  The new gloves are too small.  I couldn't tell if my hands were cold because I had so much other discomfort from the squeezing of every millimeter of my hands.  Those ar...

My first legal case - Road Rage
A couple of months ago, I witnessed two taxi drivers playing chicken and nearly killing several people including myself.  They were trying to kill each other,  There was a lot of yelling and cursing and arm waving and trying to run each other off the road. ...

I made it through Day 3
When starting a new habit or trying to break a bad one, I operate on the rule of threes.  Here's how it goes: 1. The third day is the hardest because that's the day that you first get the cravings. 2.  After the third week, the new habit becomes part of you...

Powdery white stuff

We went for our anniversary dinner. The burratta and roasted squash was an amazing appetizer. For our entrees, my husband had the rack of lamb with roasted vegetables. The veggies were hot, the lamb was cold. I had the Pumpkin Tortellini. The pasta was handmade and delicious but it sat in a broth that was way too salty. In between each course we waited 10-15 minutes between the time they took away the empty plates and the next ones were brought. Since it was so noisy in there, we couldn't have a conversation and sat around being bored instead. I also don't eat dessert but my husband does. He ordered the apple crisp and coffee. After five minutes they brought the coffee. Then, even though I told the server 3 times that I was not going to be sharing the dessert, she brought plates for both of us. 15 minutes later they brought the dessert. His coffee was cold by then. Good food with a few problems. Very slow service.
