Visited today, 8-5-13. Great weather, beautiful day. First time visit. 1/2 price coupon found on their website, great deal. Everything went well. All the teenage workers we encountered were friendly and helpful. One major complaint ... port o potties, like they hadn't been cleaned all summer. Thought i just happened to pick "the wrong one". No, they were all horrible, too full and made me gag. Service them, PLEASE!

Was going to purchase through a Groupon promo. Saw a review that said no food or drink allowed. Question: How can you expect anyone to not take any food or drink on a potentially hot day, summer excursion? If this is, in fact true, I don't believe that it is legally permissible to enforce any denial of food or drink for any reason for such an extended period of time. We just went to a MLB baseball game today, Sunday 06/23/13 and they allowed us to bring in sub sandwiches and water bottles. People need to have different nutritional and hydration reason for various reasons, whether it be medical, or simply to enjoy the day and HAVE FUN. PLEASE NOTE: I do not intend on bashing this business in any means, as I am a fellow business owner. I hope that this policy is not strictly enforced, since everyone would like to save a few $ by bringing their own food and drinks without the obligation of having to buy from the pre-determined riverside vendor, which we must "assume" has all of the legal, health and selling permits, as no one will call them out on a rafting ride. Our intention was to have a group of us buy, and try, the Groupon deal. Hoping that the company can respond to this post to help us in our decision, and the decision of future buyers..

i don't know why this place has any bad reviews. i've been coming here for years, and i've always received great customer service! the staff is very friendly and helpful. the river is clean and calm and tubing trips are very relaxing. they even have a brand new Cafe on their premises and it is an impressive improvement from the last Cafe. delicious and clean food. i'd recommend this to anyone, especially families with kids.

A friend and I went on a River Tubing Adventure in Bucks County, PA... excited since this was a first for us we were eluded to the idea this was a lazy and relaxing trip down the river. The Bucks County River Country gave no direction/safety Instruction whatsoever & were not very informative or instructing in case of emergencies or probable dangers of this trip. We were not instructed on anything! Myself, my friend and another renter were nearly KILLED on our "lazy ride' down the river due to the LACK of instruction by their staff. We were swept out into a strong current, tossing us off our tubes slamming us into rocks, we nearly DROWNED and this had gone completely UNNOTICED. Luckily we were all able to pull together with a rope I had brought, retrieve each other, our tubes and some of our belongings. When asked for first aid, it was not provided. It was as if the staff Had no concerns for their failure to provide safety instructions. As it being the next day my body feels as if I was in a car accident. I am bruised everywhere. I realize I signed a waiver being fully at risk with the adventure, however, BASIC safety instructions should be given to all those who participate in such activities especially a to a possibly dangerous adventure! They should have KNOWLEDGE on what this consists of and share that knowledge with their customers! I am very unhappy with the service and their incompetent staff!

We were there for the first time today. Loved it and had a very good time. The Port-A-Potties were absolutely disgusting, however. They were in a condition that seemed like they hadn't been cleaned in about a week. Not exaggerating.

I go to river country every year with my family because I have always had a pleasant experience there. They always have coupons on their website or in the newspaper which save us a lot of $. I have tubed and rafted there, and my favorite is tubing because you can sit in the water and relax. I went a few days ago and they had opened a new food place which was really good! Idk what these other people are talking about, I always receive great customer service and they are always concerned about my safety. Also, bring your own rope! You can tie your tubes together so you arent constantly paddling to stay together. Overall, I give river country an A+ for all of my fun times there.

I went kayaking at Bucks County River Country very recently. I had a great time! It was my first time going kayaking and the staff was very helpful, caring, and understanding. They listened to my concerns and gave excellent advice. The river itself was very clean and calm, but there were some small rapids occasionally that made the trip a bit more exciting at times while still being easily manageable for a beginner like myself (and my friends)! I would recommend River Country to anyone who wants to have a fun time for a great price. I've been to other places on the Delaware for tubing and it was not as nice as River Country. The only advice I would give would be to go to the bathroom before you arrive because they only have portapotties available for customers. Overall though, it is a wonderful place for friends and families.

I was there this past Saturday. At the end of the run, a huge stormfront moved in, and I had three kids that were still upriver. On the Jersey side, a boat was sent out, way before the storm arrived, and started trying to get people in because of the ligthning. At that point, my husband and older son abandoned their tubes to me and started heading upriver on foot, trying to get the kids out of the water. When I arrived at the beach I saw some college kids, who apparently work there, drinking cocktails and chatting it up. I told them that I thought it was irresponsible that they did not try to get people out of the water, and that on the Jersey side, they did all they could to advise their customers as well as getting the people out of the water. The girl, apparently already tipsy screamed something completely inappropriate, and I threw the tubes at them and jumped into my car and headed upriver to collect my family. They were completely irresponsible and could have cared less about the people still in the water. I have been going to River Country for 25 years. I have taken loads of people over the years. I am a trauma nurse at Temple and have seen all kinds of scary things happen. They did nothing to assist any of the people in the water, they were drinking and completely inappropriate. I will never go there again. From this point forward, I will be tubing on the Jersey side. You have been warned, River Country has become this teenage/college hangout that is inappropriate for families, I no longer feel safe in their hands. Customer service is lacking, bigtime.
