Tiramisu had no coffee/espresso taste, it also had an incredibly thick layer of cocoa powder on top that was difficult to eat. In addition to that I paid quite a bit of money for it. Ordered a latte that just was very "blah" and unappealing. Upon entering we were not given menus for the "back room" but were told that is where hot desserts are served. We asked about these desserts and were told "they are different gelato's and sauces" - that does not sound hot to me. We then were directed to the front case of lovely-looking desserts (many great options) then carried them to side room, it was just a little odd. - Maybe this time was a fluke.

It was late but I figured if they serve u then the kitchen should be open. Cheese plate was very goaty. Dessert sampler was fine. Cappachino was tiny!

Always a classy place to take a date at the end of the night. They make the desserts in an open area where you can clearly see, and smell, what they are doing. Obviously they are good at their craft because the presentation is great. They have a good selections of wines, a few beers and some spiked or virgin coffee type drinks, all of which are made well. They don't do much here, but what they do they excel at, and you never feel like you over paid.

Bad service, I'm not sure whether or not they were under-staffed for the night but only 1 guy was working the back room and he was dreadfully slow. The tables are too cramped together making me shoulder to shoulder with two other gentlemen. The food was so plain. I got the PB+B and it just tasted so bland that left me wondering, "Why would anyone pay $12 for that?" It just left something to be desired.

the atmosphere is pleasant and inviting and looks upscale like it belongs in Harvard Sq! the desserts are sinful! it's a lil pricey but very worth the money spent. the bread and sandwiches are hearty and filling.

The desserts here are really good, especially the Boston Creme Pie. It's definitely very rich so leave some room after dinner. The fruit tart is also a treat.
