Hi Mark....I spent the time to comment on your blog on Forbes.com titled "Top Ten movies in the last 2 years" and when I clicked send, it said comments were closed, so I decided to share with you here. I hope you don't mind. I have been an avid horror movie fan for over 30 years. I've always searched for a good horror movie. I was reading a few pages of comments and silently agreeing with some and one from the contributor sparked me to throw my 2 cents in. First of all, Prometheus sucked. I walked out of the movie about 1/3 in to it. I was always a huge fan of the Alien trilogy and was excited that another Sci-fi movie comparable to it was out, but I was wrong about that. Secondly, Cabin in the Woods had a ridiculous ending that ruined the whole movie for me. A movie has to remain scary not be scary and then get overly far fetched. The contributor remarked that he thought the Human Centipede movie was bad. Let me tell you that The Human Centipede was one of the most disturbing movies I have ever seen. The key word here being disturbing. There is a difference in a movie making you scared and disturbing you. I thought is was very well made and it kept entering my head for almost a week afterwards. THAT is the sign of an impacting movie. The sequel sucked. On a final note, Chained was another disturbing movie that falls in the horror genre but it is extremely well made and acted and one of the best recent horror movies I have seen. I have not lost faith in the contributor's recommendations. I watched the trailers for 2 movies on his list and I'm looking forward to watching one tonight. Hopefully, it will satisfy my horror itch. Thank you for your time, Mark. :)
