We all love having stories read to us. It lets us close our eyes and get lost in an entirely different place in a different time and let our thoughts roam. -- Do you have some more room in your stocking? Here, I read my mystical sci-fi story "One Final Wish" for you as my gift to you. -- The background music is by Volex Tagamine from their "The Passage Of Time" album. I wish you a Merry Christmas and hope that we never run out of stories, intrigue and being held spellbound by the unknown.

A biologist by the name of Jack Lentfer has been working on protecting polar bears in the Arctic region since the 1970s ----- Alaska, geopolitics and climate change are in the news and not because of Sarah Palin. Besides, if you’ve been on social media, you may have recently seen photos circulating of skinny malnourished polar bears standing on shrinking summer ice. Bear with me (pun intended), if you’re a Johnny Depp fan, like I am, you may also have seen one of his quotes making the rounds, “If you don’t like seeing pictures of violence towards animals being posted, you need to help stop the violence, not the pictures.” Photos of the malnourished polar bears standing on decreasing ice patches, scientific evidence and ongoing activism shining its light on the issues that seem to “bother” people and won’t go away, bring to mind leaving a slow-leaking gas stove in a house full of animals. It’s violence by silence. We’re watching how the animals are behaving and how the environment is affecting them, but we’re getting more upset that we know about it.

Writing Climate Change Back into History Project new post: Seandra Pope inspires those of us who find it unacceptable to overlook bad air quality in some communities and the children who know what clean air means to them. We all suffer if we don't take care of the air in marginalized communities. #cleanairmatters #fightpollution  https://goo.gl/jz9Dxf

Drumroll please: Watch CMedia Lab in action. Meet 'The Council.' Nick Sholley and I interviewed the manager Allen Chivens at Food For Thought Antiques and found some unique antique treasures, including an ashtray from Air Force One! Food for Thought is a non-profit dedicated to meeting the needs of persons living with AIDS/HIV in Sonoma County. As hosts, we learned more about the cause, we played with hats and considered collectible hobbies. Does the manager have a soft spot for any items in the store? Find out, join us antiquin while helping an invaluable cause.
