For Boarding Appreciation Week, Glenholme takes time to thank the boarding staff members for their tireless work with students. Here is just one of dozens of notes sent to them during this week.

*
Good morning Glenholme!

I wanted to take a moment to thank the boarding staff for their tireless work with our students. I’d like to point out a few strengths of our staff…

You are here early, and stay late. You sleep off hours, and take the role of surrogate parent to some of the most challenging and complex students. You teach them how to interact with each other and with adults, chase missing laundry, teach kids how to shave, tie ties, and resolve conflicts. You approach each day with fresh ideas and patience, and develop amazing and meaningful relationships with so many students. We do not get the pleasure of seeing all the payoff of this success, but please know each day your work prepares our students to leave Glenholme and live a meaningful and fulfilled life.

Each one of you does this challenging work with humor and grace, and for that, we are all very grateful!

Thank you for your efforts, ideas, laughter, and ethic!

Best,

Anna Kallman, LCSW | Clinical Director

The National Wilderness Therapy Symposium in Park City, Utah, provides a great opportunity to visit nearby therapeutic programs that sit amid gorgeous settings. Glenholme Admissions Director David Dunleavy is currently doing just that while enjoying the sites such as Bridal Veil Falls and the rugged rock cliffs near Mount Timpanogos. Both natural features are tucked into rugged Provo Canyon.
