Check out this gorgeous look - Barbara Bloom / William Morris hand-painted scarf, a blue Shibui poncho, and a Maria Bartan crystal and pearl necklace ~ Fancy enough for an event at Residence Inn Cleveland Downtown, a lunch date at Sushi 86, and casual enough for a cup of coffee at Pour Cleveland. ☺

The National NeedleArts Association held its summer trade show in Cleveland this weekend. What a treat to be immersed with so many like-minded people who love all things fiber! People came from all over the world, including Nova Scotia, China, and India to attend. I visited some of my favorite vendors: Jane Crowfoot, Prism, Rowan and saw lots of interesting new products, from vegan yarn, yak/silk yarn, raku shawl pins, wooden jewelry, and sturdy totes. Can’t wait to sit down with a cup of coffee and review all the information and color cards I accumulated.

Gourds have been used throughout history, in almost every culture throughout the world. They’re the second-oldest domesticated plant in the world, and they are the medium behind Mary Hegarty Designs' stunning art

We are so proud to carry these unique handbags from Different Things Gallery and support their mission. DTG's Creative Journey Programs help young students find their artistic voice. The young ladies in the high school Early Bird Club have been working with volunteer artists and crafters to design these handbags made from toddler jeans. We donated some handles and other materials were donated by local businesses, artists and parents. DTG's quest to build a community of creatively motivated resourceful thinkers has been developing steadily over the past 7 years, providing art-inspired programs to daycares, schools, libraries and other educational groups and institutions.

Knitwear designer Amy Brill says her pieces are “knit by one person, one at a time”. We’ve carried Amy’s wonderful knitted wearables for several years. The piece that we noticed first and still offer is her iconic Twist Front Sweater. Another great piece is her versatile Nacho Poncho. They’re accented with Maria Bartan’s long necklaces made with semi-precious stones.
