Yup, it was good. If you don't like pub food don't go. If you do you will love it. Great beer at good prices. Pool tables, seating lounge, did I mention good beer.

Good basic brews with a good variety, quality bar food, and good atmosphere. Los of pie. Nothing fancy. I'd go back.

I live in Colorado which is a brewing mecca so we try to find the local brews on our road trips and we found this place while traveling through this beautiful state. I had the duck burger which was fine because we don't get much duck around here. The presentation and side dishes were okay, not outstanding. The beers were fine, not outstanding, but the bartender was great. The server was a sweet college girl who had not been to "beer college" so she couldn't answer our questions and in Colorado that is a fundamental requirement. I would give it a B and would stop in again if I am ever this way again.

This was the place to grab a piece of delicious pie and good cup of coffee with friends. We enjoyed the atmosphere and quiet location to talk. The pie selection was almost ends -- hard to choose just one.

Normally this place is good, but never great. Tonight it was just a hair below mediocre. Our server was either very distracted, or new, or just didn't care about her customers. Our meal came to the table in less than 5 minutes after our appetizer, (the soft pretzels. Very good..) we both had the bluegill dinner. The fish was excessively greasy, a result of improper frying techniques. The rest of the meal was good, but we were there for fish. We went up to the hostess to pay, but she was unable to help us and cash us out. We had to wait 7 minutes while she found our server and had her run our card. I have never seen a place where the front register can not settle a bill. Very inconvenient. Will we go back? Yes, but only for a beer or two. Not for the food or the service.

This used to be my wife and I's favorite breakfast place due to their wonderful lefsa wraps and overall high quality good Wisconsin food. They have dramatically gone downhill in the last year or so. Their breakfast experience is on good days adequate and on bad days inedible. We have gotten the wrong food on several occasions. Their breakfast steak used to be an excellent cut wonderful portion of fine beef, now if its not a strip of leather it is mostly fat. The lunch options are fairly typical bar food, the wings tend to be quite good. The batter on the beer battered fish has a funny flavor that I am not a fan of but maybe some people are. The northwoods pies are to die for as well as their bloody mary's. Their bartenders are always top notch and they have a few good servers that will try to apologize for the frequently poorly cooked and prepared food. As a local brewery, Northwoods good be a landmark in Eau Claire if they could up their game and have some consistency in the kitchen.
