American comfort food institution that's cafeteria-style for breakfast & lunch, full-serve at night.- Google
"French Toast with banana and caramel is delicious!"
"Go here for brunch or lunch but go early-ish to try to avoid a very long line."

Gets slammed at peak brunch hour which will leave you waiting for 40 mins in line to order your food. But if you can catch it early or late, the french toast or fried chicken sandwich are worth the wait. It's a scratch kitchen so you really can't go wrong in ordering here though.

The Paramount does deserve it's good reviews - it's a great diner for breakfast and brunch. Don't be put off by it being busy or the no reservations policy, it's got a fast turnaround. Breakfast here then a walk on the common over the road - perfect Sunday morning.

It is nice to see your breakfast made right in front of you, and you can tell the staff there know what they're doing. They've been doing it for a long time. The food is fresh, the menu's got enough variety, and the fresh-squeezed anything is awesome. I am totally FOR the seating policy, in which you order, pay, and get your food before being seated because it keeps everything moving and helps ensure those eating have somewhere to sit (tables aren't taken up by people waiting to order or waiting to get food or waiting to pay). That said, if you get here and the line goes to the very front of the restaurant, know it will take about an hour for you to actually order. The food, while tasty, is pretty standard breakfast fare. Is it that the other breakfast spots in Boston aren't very good? Not sure. As we were waiting and watching countless others eat, it was kind of a bummer to see how much food is wasted. It's not the restaurant's fault that people take only two bites out of the pile of three giant pancakes and leave most of a bowl of fresh fruit to be tossed.... but maybe they can make those pancakes a little smaller, is all I'm sayin'.

Awesome food, friendly staff. The seating policy was the best!! Completely packed on a Saturday morning, line out the door, and everyone that wanted a table, got a table. The experienced staff kept the food coming, the line moving and the tables cleaned. If you're in Boston and don't go to The Paramount, you're doing yourself an injustice.

The dining experience at The Paramount has got to be the worst I've ever seen. It's a terrible concept and doesn't work. They line you up to order first, then you receive your food, then you pay, then you sit down. This can only be possible when the restaurant is nearly empty. It must be said that we went on a Saturday morning, so probably the busiest time possible, and that's where it's clear to see that the concept of paying for your food before you get a table fails miserably. And it's terribly understaffed, where vacant tables remained uncleaned for the lineup of people waiting to be seated, so they're not even being efficient about it. The only positive was that the food was pretty good. About 4/5. But it's overshadowed by a cramped stressful atmosphere.

Liked the ambience and the food is good. We got a place to sit right away, may be because we went little late. The omelets are nice and made with fresh ingredients.

Awesome lunch! And the staff are super friendly. My wife and I loved it and would definitely come here if we ever come to Boston again.
