For what it is, in the location it is...this is a recommended breakfast stop in Beacon Hill. We needed a quick suggestion from a hotel concierge, and the told us about Paramount on Charles St. We walked over with our toddler and infant in tow, had some hot breakfast and coffee, and were thoroughly satisfied. Great character in this establishment comes from the old-school working man's breakfast/lunch counter style.

Popped in for lunch around 12.30-ish while in Boston last week. The line was almost at the door when we arrived and it took well over 30 mins to order and get seated. Not sure how they manage it, but tables seem to magically clear just when they need them! I had a spinach & feta omlette while my wife chose a stack of blueberry pancakes and her mum had a cheeseburger. Good diner food and a fun experience if you don't mind waiting.

Though it was part of the experience, the wait sucked... but the awesome food made up for it.

For dinner, i can't say enough good things. I went there 3 times for dinner with different people and the dishes were fresh, flavorful and delicious evetytime. For breakfast, it wasn't as good. It was the worst French Toast I have ever had! Dry and flavorless. Still, I really like the place. Specially during dinner time.

I really liked this place. You can order breakfast or lunch. The wait times can be a little long on the weekends, but I think its actually worth it. Its strange how you have to order and get your food first, but good food is always worth the wait.

Paramount is known for its fantastic cafeteria-style brunch (which I do love), but I first discovered Paramount when looking for a place to have dinner - and I can't say enough great things! Fresh food, nice staff, cozy neighborhood atmosphere, and reasonable prices. Love!
