I ordered a beer and a pepsi at the bar last night. The bartender ignored my request for a pepsi (which I asked for twice) and brought over only the beer. I think he was trying to serve the drinks that would get him the biggest tip. If you're a bartender you should cater to designated drivers because who do you think brings customers to your establishment and makes sure they get home safely????

Imagine a place with endless possibilities, where you can go in and select super interesting beers that switch up all the time, with a knowledgable staff who can answer all of your beer questions when there selection is intimidating at times. Welcome to Max's Taphouse!

Every time I go in this place the bartenders are nothing but rude. In fact I just walked out of Max's because I tried to order food and when I turned around after getting my menu the bartender sassed me. "It's not my job to serve food. I serve beer." And I felt very unwelcome. I understand this is a beer bar, but if I want food and want to give you my money, don't sass me. I took my business to Kooper's Tavern. They're very sweet there and have great brunch.

This is -the- beer bar in Baltimore. Tons of beers to choose from, supremely knowledgeable bartenders (at least about beer) Sports played on the numerous TVs stretched around the bar. All of the food is very very good (notably, the nachos are amazing), but it is basically slightly fancy pub fare. Various burgers and sandwiches and fried things. Slightly on the pricier side, but you get what you pay for.

Bartenders were great. Food was great. People treated bartenders like assholes. Not reflective of Baltimore people as a whole but there were a lot of terrible customers while I was there on my first trip from Michigan

please describe how this is a "cigar-friendly" pub. kind of tricky when they don't allow e-cigs. otherwise, decent place, except for the crowd which is as terrible as one would expect for a popular part of Baltimore. you can find a good beer on tap.

Went here twice pretty late at night. Food and beer is pretty decent.
