One Year Later
It's been over a year since I've written. Turns out running a fitness studio, working a full time job, taking care of a teenager and a toddler, managing a household, blah blah blah... takes a lot of time. Who knew? Some things had to fall by the wayside and...

Meditation lowers the heart rate (the lower the rate, the longer you live), lowers blood pressure, brings us closer to world peace, reduces stress, improves relationships and school grades, boosts immunity and makes you happier. :)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m8rRzTtP7Tc is a TED talk by a Harvard neuroscientist explaining how meditation leads to brain changes in areas that relate to compassion, empathy, memory and coping with stress :) Meditation has some anti-aging effects too for the cortex. Her paper is at http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1361002/.

Studies show that meditation can reduce the amount of violence in a given area that the meditators focus on, for example ► https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yVFa6Wtuxu8. People who meditate-concentrate on an outcome, such as raising pH of water, can help the outcome to come true, can influence water pH from 5000 miles away ► https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kG8YcY-En3o.   (this video has Stanford Univ. Professor Emeritus of Materials Science William A. Tiller explaining how remote meditators can alter pH of water from 5000 miles away).  An easy to understand 5 min Tiller video on meditation intent affecting enzymes, etc is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OURmEwQ_rgA.  Another video with even more 5000 miles pH effect details is at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s3F-6KgpIs0.

School performance goes up and suspections decrease by 4 times in some cases ► http://www.nbcnews.com/nightly-news/san-francisco-schools-transformed-power-meditation-n276301.

There are thousands of studies that show meditation improves well-being, lowers blood pressure, increases grades, improves relationships.  At home, if it's slightly noisy, one can use earplugs and focus on the inner sound or happiness-bliss-peace.  :)  The unified field sought by Albert Einstein is ultimately pervading everything and we can connect with it and with the Happy-Joy of happy planets:)/dimensions and get some kind of inner strength from these other dimensions of life that string theory talks about. With this serenity, we'll be kinder to others and world peace will come. :)

A consequence of meditation is attaining states of bliss, positive emotions and stressing less, thus aging much slower.  :)  Some people even need to eat much less too, as energy is spent more efficiently.  Negative emotions use a lot of energy and drain us rapidly.

There are millions of ways to meditate, while standing, walking, relaxing on your bed, etc.  One doesn't need to sit to meditate; one can meditate by just relaxing in bed, with earplugs if needed, after a shower, for just 20-60 minutes a day, with the intent to connect with the compassionate happiness-bliss in the universes, bliss that floods our being and makes us a source of healing for others.  Thoughts like "i invite "infinite" selfless compassionate joy-happiness-bliss, maximum serenity to flood every cell of my being" are helpful, you can feel this joy, visualize it, let it change your emotional content:), and let yourself enjoy this bliss and peace flooding you from inside or outside or your crown chakra, so you may be a source of positive vibes for all.:)  The astral energy follows thought and by focusing chi on crown center while meditating, it will help to realize some amazing things about the universe, besides healing our body. :)  Some people manage to hear some inner sounds or music or have verifiable astral travel experiences, as they enter a state of "deeper happiness-joy-bliss". :)  Via soul travel (https://plus.google.com/+AlexP/posts/fLrSWW7jBhS) meditating people can discover new things related to consciousness, sciences, aliens, immortality, super-luminal speeds, alleviating "hunger, war, disease, aging". :)  Astral travel is arguably the ultimate technology... and meditation can give access to it...
