A Trois, on y va (All About them) (三人行)
A third person in a relationship invariably creates problems. What happens when the third in a relationship is simultaneously in love with the two? This seems to be the theme explored by rected by Jérôme Bonnell, in A trois, on y v a (literally "let's all t...

We shall all die, just like plants and other animals.  it's a simple fact. Yet strangely, people seem to have the greatest difficulties in accepting that.
To cater for their wishes not to have to die, various religions invented  some kind of life after death: the Christians believe that Jesus rose from his tomb 3 days after his crucifixion and that on the day of final judgement, all the human bodies which had ever existed on earth will rise again to be assigned to either heaven and hell for all eternity; the Hindu's believe in the reincarnation of the human soul in another body; the Buddhism (a reformed Hinduism) also believes in reincarnation but not necessarily in the form of a human body).
To accommodate such wishes for an "eternal life", the Egyptian pharaohs had their bodies preserved as mummies and built huge pyramids to house them. Emperor Chin sent 500 boys and girls to Japan to seek the elixir for eternal life. Yet they are all dead, just like everybody else.
If we were to examine the gospels of New Testaments carefully, we would have found that the versions of Jesus so-called "resurection" all conflict with each other : i
1. In Mark, Matthew and Luke  the women visited the empty tomb, encountered the angels and successfully relayed the angelic message but in John, the women did not encounter any angels on their first visit and were not told to relay any messages.
2. In Marks and Luke, the stones had already been rolled away from Jesus tomb when the women arrived but in Matthew, they saw the angels at the entrance of the tomb, there was a description of an earthquake and the stone was removed only after they arrived.
3.  Luke claimed that Jesus appeared on the first Easter Sunday to 11 men (Lk 24: 13, 36) suggesting all disciples except Judas whilst John denies that Thomas was there (Jn 20: 19-24)
4.  In Luke's version, Jesus rose to heaven in Bethany on the same day as his resurrection (Lk 24:51) But in Acts 1, Jesus ascended from the Mount of Olives 40 days after his resurrection! Which is the true version?
it is obvious that these are all invented stories because how can the "truth" be appear in 4 different versions???
But then, if people want to choose to believe in something they wish to believe in, nothing in this world will ever change their mind. Hence religions continue to thrive and millions continue to believe the human beings are in possession of a soul or some kind of spiritual existence after we have breathed our last breath.  What can we do but sigh.

Newcomer to an Old Restaurant (老店新客)
I'm not one of those, like so many of my gourmet/gourmand friends, who'd go out of his way to seek out new places to titillate their palates. But piqued by the recent introduction of fellow blogger Peter Yau, I decided to risk my time and my money on a new ...

I seem to have the illusion that the  Latin America spirit has somehow made a surprise landing to this former "Pearl of the Orient".
