During the 1970s, multiple fitness companies tried to capitalize on the "air shorts" craze. And given that we're all not prancing around in britches that resemble inflatable diapers, it's safe to say ...

James Gurney says: If I had to give a prize for the most delightfully weird romance cover, it would have to go to "The Hungry Ones" from 1966. Whatever his pickup line is, she seems to be taking him seriously. Should be an interesting date. What he hasn't told her yet is that she's got to fit into his VW with 19 of his friends. The cover is the work of Elaine Duillo (b. 1928), a prolific and talented artist whose cover paintings defined the lo...

After a longish day of sightseeing we unwound with a beer and some prawns and the meatballs. Staff was charming, food was good and beers were great. Locally sourced food and a comfortable atmosphere.

This is that odd store with an unassuming storefront and a cavernous interior. There are treasures here. Wooden swords, incense, gentlemen's shoes and jade elephants. Some are genuine, some less so. A display case of gambling paraphernalia. Another entrance on a Fan Tan Alley. Junk? Yes, loads of it. Unexpected greatness? Perhaps. Come in, look around, you may be surprised . .

We were worried by poor reviews, but pleasantly surprised. Engaging staff. Food was tasty and didn't take long. Strange raven man statue dominates dining area.

It's a step back in time. Friendly place with canoes and kayaks to rent, a swim beach and a jumping in. dock.

Informative pre-recorded tour plus very nice "live" staff on bus. Great way to see the town. Not always clear when you can hop off, but the stops easy to identify. Lots of options and we used it to get around town for rest of day,

A well maintained and clean RV park. Newer sites are level and easy to pull through, older are more secluded and wooded. New owners very friendly and warm. A family really throwing themselves into the place. They make you feel at home.

Good burger, great soft serve, excellent (and friendly) goat and burro out back by the separate bathroom building.
