I worked as a Game Design Instructor at UAT, until Dec 2012. On my off time I am usually hanging out with my brother and working on one of the (way to many) projects we are doing.
At the end of 2012, I re-launched Iron Wind Studios.
I am currently working on a set of universal miniatures rules that are in 15mm and 25mm scale. The rules are science fiction based miniatures combat system. I went with a smaller skirmish based combat approach, so people can play several games relatively quickly. The rule set is not brand specific, players can use what every 15 or 25 mm miniatures they would like. The rule set includes data and rules for cover, indirect fire, squad size, vehicles (wheeled , tracked, legged, aircushion, flying, and anti-grav). Point defense and close defense anti-missile systems are covered as well as melee combat.
The first supplement will allow players to create ranged and melee weapons (from personal weapons up to heavy vehicle based energy weapons) as well as design vehicles that all can be used in the game.
This supplement will launch at the same time as the main rule set. I am going to for a launch at the end of April (this may change), I will keep this updated
The rules are in the play test stage now and the artwork is being done.
We plan on releasing more supplements (focusing on armies created around a theme), as well as working on line of 25mm and 15mm resin vehicles.
