Scott....just an amazing capture!

Here is a pleasing shot I captured of Messier 51 - The Whirlpool Galaxy  and NGC 5195 early this morning (November 29) at Frosty Drew Observatory in Charlestown, Rhode Island, USA. M51 and NGC 5195 are actively interacting with each other and are visible towards the constellation Canes Venatici.

Photo Details:
Camera: Canon 60D (Magic Lantern)
1370mm fl
f/9
ISO: 5000
Exposure: 60 seconds x 25 images
This is a median composite of 25 images.

Scott, you are an awesome astro imager!  Very nice capture.  You mention you used the 60D, why not the 60Da instead?

Hi Deborah, Here is a shot I snapped on Saturday of the Messier 46 Open Star Cluster with Planetary Nebula NGC 2438 in the constellation Puppis. I shot this at Frosty Drew Observatory in Charlestown, Rhode Island, USA.
