Good luck with the new hours and enjoy the brief breathing space it will allow :-)

On a wet Thursday, it was time to bring some garden treats indoors.

This week Sarah has selected a popular garden shrub with delicate heads of flowers in shades of pink, white or blue and pretty autumn colour and leaf shape. This wonderful shrub is the Hydrangea.

Sarah has chosen the Gerbera or Garvinea as this weeks ‘Plant of the Week’ because it produces masses of cheerful daisy flowers the entire summer. Modern cultivars come in a dazzling array of vivid, eye-popping colors, some of which exude an almost impossible neon brightness. Nothing is quite as bright and cheerful as a gerbera daisy, whether in a mixed bouquet or as a single display specimen. Good for wildlife and good for vase too.

Lovely post! The cacti man is my favourite stand. Only one I bought from and I got to witness a Peter D interviewing him!

The Secret Garden is tucked away in the beautiful countryside of North Cork. Stocking a wide range of plants, trees, shrubs, perennials and gardening sundries, it's the perfect place to come and find something different for your garden.

With tea, cake and birdsong we are well worth discovering
