It all makes sense now!

I follow the QC Comic Strip and enjoy the story arcs that involve AI.

This week just such an arc is being presented.

So if you follow this comic or if not and you go back a few days and 'catch-up' I do expect you will totally appreciate the absolute complete irony of the dialog in today's strip.

Enjoy!

Amlogic S912 supports 4K HDR including Dolby Vision, HDR10 and HLG, 4K@60fp 10bit video decode and picture in picture display, multi-format video playback including VP9, H.265 10-bit and AVS+, with complete Dolby, DTS certifications, support operators level hardware security 4K DRM. Mass production and shipping will start from Q3 2016.
Amlogic also shows S905X, which is their upgraded version of Almogic S905, 64bit Quad-core ARM Cortex-A53, compared with S905, it now supports HDR10 and VP9, intergrated Ethernet port inside the CPU. That means S905X can be certified by Google for Android TV at a very low system BOM for the TV Box market.

There have been. But did not find them. Might be deeply hidden in one of my backup dumps on my NAS.

Robotic Legged Locomotion! After spending some time with ROS/Gazebo and V-REP i built my own "simulator". Its ~400 lines of python code using BulletPhysics and Panda3D. I wanted to play around with different mechanical designs and control logic and i felt that neither ROS or V-REP was suitable for quick tests/iterations of robot design. I will probably port my efforts to ROS later but in this initial state its easier/faster to just interface directly with Bullet (through Panda3d) using Python.

Ok. Everyone have already seen the video but I liked the analysis in this article.

I love simulators, and are facinated by quantum computation so I found this article very interesting ; )

Are there anyone else that is studying quantum computation for fun?

This post is a continuation of my earlier post ‘Exploring Quantum gate operations with QCSimulator’. Here I take a closer look at more quantum gates and their operations, besides implementing these…

Oh. So true! In 21 days, you might be able to write code that runs/compiles. But you will not be considered a "programmer" among real "programmers".

You, too, can be a programmer in just 21 days! It's easy!

OMG, have always complained about the battery life in linux on my laptops.
now i have an solution :D

Went from 17W to 10.5W on my Thinkpad Yoga S1 ;)

http://www.linrunner.de/en/tlp/docs/tlp-linux-advanced-power-management.html
TLP brings you the benefits of advanced power management for Linux without the need to understand every technical detail. TLP comes with a default configuration already optimized for battery life, so you may just install and forget it. Nevertheless TLP is highly customizable to fulfil your ...
