Here is some more progress on my foot, The yellow part is an attachment for the lead screw (8mm, 2mm pitch, 100mm long). will have two of those, one for x and one for y rotation of the foot.

The green parts are Potentiometers that i will use to track the rotation/angle of the foot.

Next up a carrage for the lead screw nut, a lot of springs/shock absorbers, gears and motor attachments.

I think we do , it's a bit easier to balance work/family/hobby for me now. Because I am on a parental leave until April. So now I can spend all my time on my family and my hobby :)

I have drafted a construction to evaluate the load cells as foot pressure sensors :D

I have changed a bit of the design. I ditched the toes to keep it simple, I also added another load cell and made the foot a bit wider. The linear rods will be connected to two motors and the linear sleds will be connected to the heel by bars. The front of the foot will be connected to the leg with springs/shock absorbers.

+Jonathan Lussier, Regarding the ATRIAS, yes, and I have thought about building something similar and take inspiration from ground running birds to build a "simpler, less expensive leg". But this is a plan B, I am not certain it will handle all human environments that well. And it's not that good at standing still and slow, controlled movements. You can think off it like it's unable to balance but exillent at avoiding to fall over. So it's basically a drunk acrobat :p

It's time for pots! :) the big part was the first design. I like my current version (the small one), it's much smaller and fits like a glove!

The S3 is, according to its maker, better than existing LIDAR systems in every single way

Some progress on my robotic foot, there are some alignment issues in the assembly and the "toe" joint needs to be moved up and closer to the rest of the foot. But it is starting to look like a foot.
