The #TajBostonBees are buzzing because they have the best view in Boston.

What better way to spend the day than enjoying the fresh flowers of The Public Garden, and skyline views of Boston. A secret from the hive is that we are gearing up to begin incorporating their honey into our dishes, and next year, we can hopefully have enough buzz to begin merchandising it for our guests to enjoy!

As soon as I entered the hotel it smelled like a cheap hotel. According to a booking website this is a 5 star hotel but upon entering and looking at a placard left on the Front Desk it stated "One of the best Four Star hotels" and I already had my doubts. After going up to the room I noticed that the couch was disgusting and the carpet was very dirty. The room smelled bad and I also saw hair in the bathroom but I was too frustrated to complain about the hairs so I just left and I will not be coming back. If you want a good place to stay go to The Inn At Hastings Park you will be treated very nicely and their rooms are clean and the hotel opened in May 2014 so its brand new!

Great room and quite nice level of daily welcoming details. Couldn't be better located, would stay many more times. Highly recommended. Not giving 5 stars because my room was in front ice machine room, which made some noise during the night. Did not ask to change room, though.

While I haven't had a chance to spend the night, this is a nicely kept hotel with a great location.

I opted for the TAJ Boston instead of the Ritz Carlton, which I regretted considerably after arriving. We were greeted by, what seemed a laxed valet service and bellhop. After traveling to Boston for quite some time, my guest and I were forced to wait with our luggage until the bellhop decided to take it for us, whilst the reception took their time to check us in. When checking us in, the reception *corrected me* and informed me that I did *not* reserve two double beds and said that I had a king. Although this was inconsiderate not even to accomodate us, the worst was yet to come. By the time we entered the door, I was perturbed. I stay at five star hotels for a reason and this hotel is not worthy of its rank. In short, the room smelled of a strange odor which was not agreeable. I called room service for an *air freshener* which I thought would be a hint, but instead, was never delivered. For some reason the bathroom drain was sitting on the edge of the bath tub for two nights, un-hooked and grossly filled with hair from previous guests. And lastly, the last night of staying at the hotel, I asked for an additional bath robe and the operator disagreeably gruffed ... at which I told her to *drop the attitude* and hung up. Awful stay. I wish I had known this hotel chain was so miserable.

The Taj Boston is run by very nice people who try hard for you to like them and they have certain challenges which we are learning to overcome. For one thing, the hotel occupies two buildings though you would never know it. The "old building" was built in the 20's and bathrooms are small and rooms sometimes face a wall. The "new building" goes up to the 7th floor (it's a condo above that) but the halls connect so it's seamless. Rooms face the park or Commonwealth Avenue and are a little larger and bathrooms are larger and more modern. Room service is excellent and prompt. And yes, it's expensive but not when you compare it with the Four Seasons.

This is an elegant hotel adjacent to Boston Common and was apparently one of the first Ritz-Carlton properties, until the Taj conglomerate bought it. If you're into hotels like The W (modern, chique, trendy), this is the exact opposite: elegant, classy and stately. I stayed in a Presidential suite which had a living room, dining area, fireplace and separate bedroom. Overall, very nice. The internet connection, however, sometimes cut in and out, but wasn't terrible.

Nice rooms and *extremely* friendly staff. The breakfast options were rather expensive, but good quality and certainly convenient. Overall a great place.

Hot hot hot. Air conditions zero. Rooms in summer unbearable. Accommodating staff nice spacious rooms. But summer -sweat swear and sleep not
